Yes it did... I had a fit once it did bc it was my first SS... I kept bugging the people who got it sent out to have it shipped to my proper address and not theirs out of paranoia... I got a few sigs on it I'd post it but honestly I think it's unique might sound selfish but I don't want someone else getting the same sigs... But 3K wow... I messaged the seller awhile back... Didn't think 3K was imaginable... I was sure wrong... Longterm I believe it's a classic cover someone will always want it and my original intent was to keep mine forever... But that's astonishing as far as I'm concerned... People need to be aware of the value of some of these unique moderns there definitely is a market for them...

A CGC 9.8 just sold for 3k...

I got mine on ebay... I was watching it and as usual forgot to bid... Then one day the seller relisted it at 2am... I happened to see it(guess the buyer forgot to pay...) and I swooped it up.... Since then it has brought me plenty of joy... I messaged a guy listing a 9.8 asked why he ended the auction because he listed it at an astronomical price... He said he didn't mind keeping it anyhow... I'm keeping mine I was always about the covers and this one will forever stand out...

I bid it up to 7100… Too bad I didn't have the dough laying around I would have tried to win it… That 9.0 that sold was a steal... $7100. That 9.2 hammer price agrees with you. A 9.6 should be close to $10k easy. The collecting world will catch up eventually.

A bunch of people listed high graded books at the same time... Give buyers options they end up changing their minds on bidding or bid on another book...

I purchased a box of #1 issues back in 1991 which included a First Ninja Turtles… Although at the time it was really hard to tell which printing it was… I think I opened it twice not knowing what to look for… Now because of the internet etc etc… it wouldn't be hard to get the correct info or look directly on the inside cover… whatever it may have been at the time I sold that mysterious box in the "Recycler" in Orange County(for $40)… I think at the time I decided it was impossible for it to be a first print… I was a teenager at the time and there is no way of taking a time machine and my memory is not sharp enough to double check… but I trust myself and really doubt it was a First printing… I will say that at the time it still was considered something special esp. since their popularity was still at their peak… I remember how comic stores where back then in the late 80s and early 90s a lot of nostalgia for me looking back… I think I wanted a Hulk 181 back in 89 for an impossible $60 if I can remember right… I also remember when the watchmen came out and all those "graphic novels" where popping up… There where no "games" tables at the time also… and I would quietly scan through the new releases popping questions every now and then to whichever clerk was around at the times..

It better be… Or I got something waiting for the dude I bought it from...
