  2. So I have been thinking about this book(along with others... Wolvie/Deadpoo/JSC/1) and how prices are crazy in regards to them... Is it truly a clear cut example of supply and demand... A lot of people think the book is cool.... But there's only x amount out there in the wild then boom! Prices skyrocket as more people learn about them and want it...

  3. Just got word in today from my friends from customer service.... yours truly is now the proud father of a SS 9.8!!!!! Super stoked to say the least!!!!

    That's great congrats!

Make sure you post it here when it arrives.

Maybe someone should make and keep track of the boardie owned copies of this exclusive club after all. hm

    Thanks!

At the same token... I think how many of us are in the "Raremodernvariantclub" ala: ASM678/Wolvie1 and the two others I might snag one day: ASM667/Siege3... I know Jay you've completed double tandem(can't remember but Im banking you have the Siege3 as well... pretty sure Kryten is up there)... but I know of about four of us that at least have ASM678/Wolvie1...

thanks my friend! hmmm I didn't get the spider roach this time.... I'll think about revealing it when I get it in hand... I was so excited about the sub... I expressed it... Really thankful about another successful Ebay purchase!(from what I remember... the seller listed it as a straight up auction late night once again... I pm'd him and gave him the fair market at the time $400 after some sweet solo shots ahahah) is a boardie the one on the video btw?!?

  5. Looks like the book hasn't moved too much since the beginning of the year (raw copies at least). Is there still room to grow on this one until the movie is released or has it peaked? Trying to determine if I should sell mine now or wait.

I've been thinking the same... I would say it has indeed reached its peak at this point...

  6. The ComicLink auction for the Star Wars #1 (35 cent) price variant in CGC 9.6 just closed this evening. $36500 !!

I recall the ComicLink 2011 auction of this book in the same grade closed at between $21000 and $22000. The 2010 auction closed at about $26000.

    link?

I believe this link will work above for the closed comic link auction.

Thanks! Looks exactly like my 9.6 except mine is .30

  8. Was given this for a Christmas gift back in 83, my sister paid $20.00.

I graded it years ago when the first Overstreet Grading Guide came out(93???), it graded at a VF.

It has not been out of its Mylite since.

Picture was taken about 8 years ago for insurance purposes.

    Smart sister... awesome story...

I think in terms of inflation she deserves a bump up from $20 at xmas time...

  9. Was a little surprised to see this particular 9.4 go this high in the CC auction : :o

I dunno the shelf for IH181 is starting to look pretty high... Killing him off really put fans into overdrive I feel... It's like having a favorite cartoon when your a kid and them pulling the plug on the series... you want to watch it even more... hoping that next season it'll be back up again...

Recently got a submission of ashcans back from CGC...

Finally get a chance to post my yellows and blacks up....

Black ashcans purchased from Spreads last year(finally had #1 graded!)

Yellow #1 I purchased from TXReplicant...

Yelow #3 I found in the wild and submitted recently...

  11.

The 9.8 that was ended early as it was "no longer available" yesterday has yet to register on the GPA.My guess is that it will not, if it was even sold.Maybe the seller wants more money.

That seller is probably a boardie, as well.......if so, and you happen to be reading this, please post up the transaction details, kind sir.

OK since I've been getting a load of PMs about it, the 9.8 was mine. I sold it to a boardie who may reveal himself if he chooses to, or not

I got $3600 for it clear (check) / no fees, so that's as if it went for $4300 on ebay before ebay & paypal fees, give or take $50.

Just waiting for the check to come in the mail and the deal is done

Good luck to the next one, hope whoever is waiting for theirs to come back gets a 9.8 and does a happy dance like I did (thumbs u

If you can provide a record of the sale, detailing that the buyer paid you in full for the boo and he has received the book, you should get in touch with the GPA guy on here and report the sale to him.

I am sure that Costas, Chip and Jerome whenever he gets his copy back from CGC, that is) would all appreciate that (thumbs u

    $3600.... :o
