Hey gang, fair warning: tonight is not looking good. And honest, I'm not being difficult. I just want to be able to fly through everything I have rather than start and stop and if I start late tonight it will be far too late of a night for East coast people (I've had a couple of people say they're East coasters and want to join the fun). I promise (assuming nothing serious happens between now and then) that I'll do it tomorrow night. I will have over 100 books ready to go and I'll make it an earlier start so that both East and West coast can view.

Apologies, more moderator hijnx (I received several other strikes) and pandemic stuff happened and I wasn't able to get to this thread as expected. I am planning on getting fired up again tonight. I have a large lot of books to list. I know that everyone wants to send want lists but I want to be fair to everyone and I will be posting the books here as they are available. If you have sent PMs I will have answers. There will be a light sprinkling of GA (nothing huge or very rare - just some cool books) and mostly higher grade SA and BA from Marvel and DC. I will also have a separate thread in the CA/MA forum with a batch of books. If you would like to settle up when all is said and done with this latest batch, that would be my preference so that I can get everything shipped out but it's not mandatory. If you can't, that's fine but just know that there may be a delaying in shipping your books after you pay as I can only promise immediate shipping this week. I would like to ship everything by Thursday or Friday at the latest. Again, apologies on the delays and thanks for being patient.

Well if it helps, I got acquainted with that art in 2010 amidst everything else that was. So their art did not appear to break free from the crowd. It just looked like standard proportions to me. Well done for sure, but nothing I could pick from a line up if they drew a scene I was unfamiliar with. Unlike Miller, Simonson, or the aforementioned Bolland. Not saying Miller is a better artist, he is not, but his style is more recognizable to me. Also I thought Perez was picked for Superman to indicate to readers that the title was returning to a more classic and familiar feeling, that alone tells me that his art is not that distinctive when compared to other artists. We were having a discussion on here years ago about Guns And Roses and how different they were than all the popular hair metal bands of their time. And they were completely different to anyone who listened to that music at the time. And yet a British board members said all the bands from that era sounded the same. Personally, I could pick a Perez page, a Byrne page or a Miller panel apart from each other pretty easily. So I guess it's all relative to what you're used to. Show me a bunch of mid 90's art and it all looks the same to me.

Had Miller had never made Ronin I would agree with you. Ronin was amazing.

When someone has had too much to drink and they're hunched over with their arms in front of them I call it 'T Rex mode' -

You could have bought an entire T Rex if you wanted to. https://historical.ha.com/heritage-auctions-press-releases-and-news/tyrannosaurus-brings-1-052-500-at-heritage-auctions-new-york-event.s?releaseId=2213 -
IN THE ERA OF COVID19...BUYER'S MARKET?

How is that any different than if someone bis $1200 for a book on eBay while you only wanted to bid $1000? The bidder just wanted the book more and was willing to pay for it regardless of the site.
