Giant Size X-men #1 CGC 7.0 is SOLD!

I can definitely see this as being the reason. There are only so many resources (time / space / employees) and CGC is much more busy now than they were when they moved into that location. It's one of the reasons they started charging for grading notes. Giving it away free was too time consuming to do it for free.

First, the book was graded in 2012. 2nd, there is no amount of crack that would allow a grader to call that book a 5.0, even in the loosest period. It's obviously a swapped out book.

My initial post (and discussion point) was pictures of books in bags. The extra layer of plastic, mylar, etc creates a lot of glare and distraction that prevents you from seeing the book properly when taking a pic (as in a photograph with a cell phone or camera). With scanners that is not the case. A scan looks almost identical whether inside a Mylar or not.

That book looks like it belongs in a higher grade holder.

Marie Severin did the pencils to one of my favorite Thor covers of all time - Thor #158. She did the head sketch on that cover while Kirby did the action poses. I'm not overly familiar with all of her work but that head sketch alone showed me that she was a great.

It's a peeve of mine because it really hinders you from seeing the book. You wouldn't put a car cover over your car when taking a picture, would you? You wouldn't keep your lunch sandwich in a ziploc bag if you were sending a picture, would you? If you want to show the comic for sale, I think you should take the plastic off the CGC case or out of the bag / Mylar for snapping pics. It would seem to be common sense but maybe it isn't? And don't get me wrong on the artistic merit of thumbs and toes in pictures.
