VintageComics got a reaction from DeadOne in Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 5.0 OW - Terrific eye appeal - Book has been moved to eBay
Thanks guys.
I am going to bump this thread as I have a few people interested but people seem fixated on the last GPA sale of $33K. As most people know, copies without chipping now fetch a premium, as do copies with exceptional eye appeal.
That $33K copy was a copy with lots of chipping and poor eye appeal. You're just not going to get a premium looking copy like that for that GPA low price.
My copy looks like a $120K 7.0 copy from the front.
To you give you guys a better understanding of the market, someone who was inquiring about my copy recently just bought a CGC 5.5 that is not as nice looking as my copy and they paid $54K for it. Between the current market trends and Overstreet coming out with it's new Guide in July I might just have to raise the price on my copy.
Message me with any interest.

People didn't care about it as much when they didn't care about the value of their books.
Now everyone scrutinizes everything.

Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 5.0 OW. For some reason the scanner makes the dark inks look mottled in the scan. They are not. The book looks WAY better in person. In hand the browns are dark and rich. I'm going to have to try to rescan with another scanner.

I still disagree with everything you say but having a debate with you is like playing twister with Mr. Fantastic. You twist and contort and are never wrong.
But you are usually wrong.

VintageComics got a reaction from snitzer in Archie Comics #5 (1943) CGC 3.0 OWW For Sale - great eye appeal.
Archie Comics #5 3.0 G/VG OWW pages. Cover detached (it is a single staple book), 1" spine split top of spine, rest of book is complete with gorgeous, supple page quality. Writing on front cover.
Early Archie books are extremely tough to find in any grade and this one has terrific eye appeal.

VintageComics got a reaction from Primetime in Best comic shop in Chicago?
He's up to 11 or 12 stores now but the Naperville store generally has the best stuff.

How can the most expensive Silver Age comic of the last decade be considered undervalued?

One or two data points do not a trend make.
I wish people didn't look at one or two sales and make a prediction. It just adds to the volatility of the markets.

Please don't quote me. I disagree with nearly everything you say (or write).
And yes I disagree with you on what you are writing now and an AF #15 CGC 4.5 was a $35K book last summer.
That's not to say that prices are tanking. Everyone is over reacting based on one data point / price (which is not how to analyze a market).
The fact that people argue over one sale is just nuts and it shows how nuts this market is and how nuts people are to defend their own vested interests.
