I got about 40 books back from CGC the other day but haven’t had time to open the box yet. These were a different submission but got them back this week. 
 

I wish Wizard still published a monthly.  The young flippers never asked this question when Wizard was in print, they just carried around their ragged copy, seeking out all the highlighted books they were "supposed" to have.
You'll find that the guys who scoured Wizard for keys and variants in the 90's and early 2000s are mostly not collecting anymore.  Not exciting enough, other interests, family obligations... things like that.  It's really important to decide what characters or companies you want to focus on, or you'll have a mixed box of unrelated minor keys that no one cares about.  On the other hand, if you were a Wizard kid, welcome back!  See you again in 10 years...

The highest price variant for this one is 9.6 and there's only one in the census. I'm sure it's value is off the charts...

So I wouldn't think it's worth while just to census chase a price variant. Besides I'd rather have a better condition regular copy than a price variant with stress marks or whatever.
Btw, this isn't the X-Men I was telling you about. That one is on the way around a month or so. It has a close relationship with this one though

No I repeat NO excessive Newton rings, one figment of one though...but acceptable

And they didn't put the "newsstand price variant" on the Batman #24, but the rest they did get, see if you can spot all of them

Both books were sent out as 9.4s, so I thought I would give them a press.  Was hoping they would both come back with an improved score, but I'll happily settle for one upgrade vs none.  Truth be told, I love the gold sig version and that will likely go into my personal collection.  For starters there is the uniformity in the sharpie color and the fact that the names stand out on, what I feel like is, a very busy cover with a lot of black that makes it difficult to otherwise sign with black sharpie.  Not to mention, Stan's sig, despite the use of thick gold is more legible.  (Lower score and Newton rings be damned.)

This will probably be the cheesiest of all cheesy books ever.

I owned the whole dark Phoenix run at one point from 129-138, and i read most of it  the X-Men cartoon made me want this series when I first got back into collecting in 2014. 
I can't wait
 
 

Hopefully I can keep this white pages streak going. It's a decent book at a decent price
