SoCal is very cool. Lots and lots and lots of back issues. Great store. Was there a few months back on vacation as well.

Comickaze is super cool as well. Not a ton of issues but cool store and the location in Liberty Station is awesome. The family can check out the area while you shop.

Not so much for them to do at SoCal though.

Sweet. Thanks for the extra info. This will help with the planning. So i guess SoCal when daughter is sleeping then?! hm

    Thanks again!

I'll second So Cal comics for silver age and overall selection. Was just there this weekend and they had a lot of a major keys in stock like X-Men 1 and Strange Tales 110. Run books tend to have the best pricing and nice deals can be found.

Thanks for confirming what Steve has said. Appreciate it! Hope you got some sweet finds yourself! ;)

    Cheers!

That's it. You can easily spend an afternoon there. If it isn't enough, there are two other stores on the same street about a mile in each direction.

Oh I see that now. Didn't realize they're on the same street till now. Thanks for pointing this out.

  4. Hello Everyone,

I hope I posted this in the correction section. I'm going on a family vacation (with wife and 19 month old daughter) for the very first time to San Diego, CA in early June. We're staying in Mission Beach/Bay area. I was wondering of any recommendations you guys may have for some cool shops (or anything else that's a must for a young family) that I can check out (may have to check out the comic book shops when the wife and daughter are napping ;) )?

I'm more of a silver age marvel collector but like most, enjoy anything comic book related.

I have looked at yelp, and looks like there' s a tonne of the shops (over 40), so any help or suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lucjan

p.s. I'll even take restaurant recommendations! Thanks!

  5. Bought a copy of asm300 from Phillip. Communication was pleasant, shipping was super fast and packaging was great too! Definitely going to keep my eye open for another one of Phillip's sales! ;)

    Thanks again!

    Cheers!
