After a long absence from collecting comics (the only remaining issue from my original collection is Amazing Spider-Man #252), I was online and saw some issue or other, and it triggered a long dormant memory. I realized that I knew exactly which issue of Amazing Fantasy saw the debut of Spider-Man, where Iron Man got his start, and what the significance of Journey Into Mystery #83 was. This, almost 30 years since the last time I bought a comic book, made me pause for a second and contemplate what that meant (if anything).
With all of that in mind, the idea of purchasing a copy of the issue of each of those anthologies that immediately preceded a super hero introduction, made me laugh.
My first submission for grading: Amazing Adult Fantasy #14, Journey Into Mystery #82, and Tales Of Suspense #38.
