  1. Thanks for the input Vikingreed.....pulled the trigger on my first CGC....
  2. I know there is only 500 of the #1 RRP......was it a similar run for the #19? Or do we know.
  3. I kinda share that sentiment as it's pretty damn perfect how it is.....but given everything he's said I think the most important thing is that he wouldn't really even consider it until the series is done. In 5-10 years tho? When technology and CGI have advanced even further....I think ThoseBackPages may be right and we'll see some form of it on screen. An adult oriented animation version would definitely be the way to go imo, because a live-action version would almost assuredly be a watered down PG-13 version of it, in an attempt to turn it into a franchise of sorts, imo. Ultimately what matters most is the original material tho.....Shakespeare can be interpreted as infinitum, but it always comes back to how flawless the source material is on it's own.
  4. What does a regular Saga #1 go for? Seems as though an ungraded but very good condition one, can sell for anything from roughly $70 to $150 on eBay. With #1 9.8 CGC's usually going in the $200-$300 range or so.
  5. You're fishing. How many fish do you catch an hour? Depends on past experiences and variables involved. The future can never be 100% predicted accurately.....but those that accurately monitor the past, carefully weigh as many variables as possible, can come up with pretty damn good predictive models of the most probable and likely outcomes.
  6. Yeah, that's about my thoughts on it as well. BKV seems pretty insistent that he has no plans to ever option it for TV or Film, and that it's only being made for this medium. Having said that....I given his dreams of working in those industries earlier in his career, and having ultimately done some work in those fields, I won't be surprised if he changes his mind down the road, after the series has been completed.
  7. What kind of ceiling do we think something like the RRP #1 has, or is such a thing just impossible to predict?
  8. So this sold for $760.....was curious what the board thought of that price, and what the long term value is likely to be on something like a Saga #1 CGC Retailer incentive. I'm a massive Saga fan and am slowly putting together my collection....I have an ungraded #1, but am also considering taking the plunge for a CGC 9.8 with original cover, or making going up to this variant version. ....but first wanted to get the opinions of more experienced collectors about how they view/value such variants, as long term pieces for a collection. (IE - should one have any fear of the value dropping out from under such a title?) Thanks in advance, gentleman....any/all input or advice would be greatly appreciated.
