  1. Thank you! I think that the Vintage Magnus Robot Fighter set (issues 1-4) should also go into the "Valiant/Gold Key Reprints" set, as all 4 are reprints of the old Gold Key issues. Many thanks! Steve
  2. I'd like to request the following Valiant Comics sets and updates: Chaos Effect Set - Valiant Comics - 1994 Chaos Effect: Alpha #nn Chaos Effect: Alpha #nn Retailer Incentive Edition Chaos Effect: Omega #nn Chaos Effect: Omega #nn Gold Edition Chaos Effect Epilogue #1 Chaos Effect Epilogue #2 Punx Set - Valiant Comics - 1995 Punx #1 Punx #2 Punx #3 Punx Manga Special #1 These books should be added to the Solar, Man of the Atom set: Destroyer #0, Valiant, 4/95 We agree, it's the best place for this one shot. It has been added. Original Doctor Solar, Man of the Atom #1, Valiant, 4/95 This book should be added to the Magnus Robot Fighter (Valiant) set: Original Magnus Robot Fighter #1, Valiant, 4/95 Since the Original Doctor Solar and the Original Magnus Robot are reprints of the original Gold Key books, we feel that these do not fit in the sets. However, I created a new set for you titled "Valiant/Gold Key Reprints" in which you can add your books that contains these early 90s reprints of the original titles. Thank you!
  3. So, I have a bit more info from John at Comichron, suggesting these are very rare indeed: I am almost posiive these are copies sent to Walter Lantz's studio from Western Publishing, and either Western or Lantz's people affixed the sales data to them. Western would have been paying Lantz for the license, and basing what they paid on the numbers.
  4. Anyone seen these? They appear as hand-typed inserts which are stapled into the inside front cover. Grade is relatively mid to high, minus the staple to the cover. I have at least 2 books that have this info. I've never encountered this, and my Google-fu is coming up empty. Perhaps they are file copies? I have several hundred more books to go through. Might have more.
  5. Valiant $20 Slab Sale I have over 50 high grade slabs in my eBay store listed for auction starting at $19.99. Nearly all of them are Valiant 9.8s. A few others as well. Gold books, first appearances, limited variants, etc. Notable books are an Eternal Warrior 4 and Rai 0, both in 9.8. Auctions end Sunday evening. I did this about a year ago and it was really fun. I blew through a lot of my inventory, and some folks got some really cool slabs for great prices. If you've been on the fence, here's your chance to pull the trigger. http://stores.ebay.com/hickorycanyon/ Best, Steve
  6. The double cover is cool. I have only 1 Valiant double cover - an X-O 0. I can't recall if it's a white or ivory. It's probably in 9.8 condition, but I haven't slabbed it yet.
  7. I have two 30 book submissions at QC, received on 5/4!
  8. It helps if you put what tier of service you submitted the books under. Does it make it better if it's MST? Nearly 4 1/2 months and only graded. 3+ months and not even verified?
  9. 6/9/15 and still only received 5/4/15 and still only graded
  10. What tier? MST. Usually, I get them within 3.5 months. To not have shipped in 4 months has been a change. If you haven't called then you should. Looks like they are shipping April MST. Thanks all. I'll try tiday or tomorrow. It's been some time.
  11. What tier? MST. Usually, I get them within 3.5 months. To not have shipped in 4 months has been a change.
  12. I have 120 books arrived on 3/20. Today, it's been 4 months. Still listed as graded.
  13. Does anyone know how to tell which books made the prescreen before they are listed as shipped? I thought there was a way, but I can't quite tell. I have a book listed as graded, and there is one on eBay that I'd like to grab mine didn't make the prescreen. Many thanks!
  14. 30 books - Modern Snail's Pace Received 3/20 Shipped 7/8 Still waiting on the other 90 submitted the same day.
  15. 1 month from graded to shipped! Yikes! I have 186 graded books, and it's killing me.
  16. Great pictures, Lobo! I have 2 9.8s. I too haven't been able to get a 9.8 graded, but I did have a 9.6 that I recently sold for $300 (the price I bought my last 9.8 about 6 months ago). These are definitely my favorite books in my collection right now. I have 3-4 raws at CGC now which I plan to flip. Definitely no 9.8s there, but I think they have shots at 9.4-9.6.
  17. I got a status check and they said the books are ready to ship. The status online hasn't been updated yet, but I did get the grading breakdown over email. Received - 9/2 "Ready to ship" - 12/5 That's at about the 55 day actual turnaround published. Was a bit disappointed in the 9.8 screen, but it was my first. About 40% came back as 9.8s. I'm really curious, as I only submitted copies that looked flawless to me. One of them, a Unity 1 3D Variant, I'm really surprised about. Those covers and bindings are square and tight. Thanks all for your comments on my questions.
  18. Thanks! What's interesting is that I remember seeing that information before, but now it has all been changed to n/a. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer. I wish I could recall the number of comics that were listed as modern. It was a good number.
  19. My last moderns took 3 months 2 weeks. I would say any day now yours will be going out. Anything good Batman Adventures 12 is the best book. I submitted my first batch ever - 60 9.8 pre screen. A lot of Valiant variants and gold books, along with some early Valiant keys. A few other books. I have a couple boxed of 9.8 candidates that I'd love to send in, but need to know I'm doing it right.
  20. I sent the books Modern Standard. It's been about 3 months.
  21. How long does it normally for books to move out of "Graded/Quality Control"? My books were graded many weeks ago, and they've been stuck in "graded/quality control" for about 3 weeks. Many thanks!
