These came today:

Thanks, guys.

Which goes very nicely in front of these:

I love those late 60's early 70's covers. This one arrived today:
-
These just showed up at my door...
Nova. I remember those when I was kid. I really liked them. Nice pick up.

Did you win big at the roulette wheel?

So, Batman was the first to engage in modern parenting.
Nice books.

Awesome books that look great together A Schomburg cover on the Invaders to boot
Thanks.
It's funny. My collecting interests are extremely narrow. I've been hunting for these two for a while, and then the two of them pop up within a few weeks of each other. Also kind of neat that they tell the same story from different vantage points as well.

Two pretty sweet books I've been looking for for a while:
Ahhhh!, so that's where that Kng-Size Invaders #1 went to. I had it on my watch list, then it ended as no longer available for sale. Congrats on it being you who got it!
Congrats on the Avengers #71 too!
Thanks.
I had it on my watch list, too when it was pulled. I contacted the seller who was selling it on consignment. He gave me the owner's information, and we eventually worked out a deal.
Ijiwaru means happy camper this evening.

From Midnight Cowboy:
-
I watched Stolen Summer last night. (Sappy, sentimental dreck with some seriously sloppy theology, unbelievable dialog, and some made-for-TV child performances). There are a couple scenes with the main character, an eight-year-old boy, trying to sell lemonade. While waiting for customers, he is reading a Fantastic Four from the mid 70's. In a later scene, there is a Howard the Duck #4 lying on the same table.

Just came in the other day. Hit a BIN on ebay and got a deal. I think... Seems like a tough book in grade.
Well, there are 13 in this grade and none higher. It's a real beauty. How much did you pay?
$69. It was weird... the seller listed this along with a bunch of assorted regular issues of the Invaders all CGC 9.6 and all priced at $69. I couldn't believe he had this at the same price as issues like Invaders 29 CGC 9.6. I've seen raw "NM" copies of this book go for $50+. Since I've been looking for a CGC 9.4 or better for over a year, I hit BIN very quickly.
You got a great deal! I would think the annual in that grade would top $120 pretty easily.
Congrats!!

Well, as long as we're doing animals abusing comics stories--
When I was twelve, I left a few comics on my bed. Later that day, my cat having decided to sharpen its claws, I discovered a pile of colorful confetti where one of the comics had been. From the shredded scraps of paper, I was unable to identify the book. Only through the process of elimination did I finally figure out it was my copy of Invaders 18.
