My buddy from college and I have a running joke whenever I talk about comics. He isn't a fan, but had a run of Sleepwalker 1-10 for some reason. He always asks if they are worth anything yet (because they have been sub-25 cent bin fodder for decades) and we always laugh. I sent him the news.
It's time for me to liquidate my collection. The writing is on the wall, the end is nigh. Irrational exuberance is here!
(I'm kidding but not really).
Not really . . . Sleepwalker? I must have used it in the birdcage.
Soooo.. 9.6?
Good news. Now, on 9.8 you can at least get your slabbing money back.

OK, I will conceed that AITI #33 and #38 are pretty good. I have both issues. They just aren't "over the top" as much as their contempories. The first dozen or so issues of both this and Forbidden worlds do have outstanding covers. I pick them up on the cheap when I can. One of these days, I get to posting some cool horror stuff.
I'll have to agree that while some ACG covers are cool they just seem to be a little 'friendlier' style of horror that turns some people off and why they didn't taken off like their contemporary publishers.
I can agree with this.

Can we create 3 polls to figure it out?
. In all seriousness, which usually never am, I think Harvey did a great job.

Hi Howard Not a whole lot. There were more people than usual with old comics. Jim brought some as did another guy with some nice (but pricey) GA and SA. The finder of the"Paul" collection was there and a got a few more "Paul" books. 3 early Capt Marvels, 2 Tracys, and a Sensation. He was the guy I got the 3 Shadow books from. He had only 1 pulp left a beautiful copy of the Weird Tales with the bat girl cover. He had an "I don't want to sell it" price on it. But, he was heavily discounting the comics. I got an old Wonder Woman and Kid Colt Outlaw with a Kirby monster story. I got a beat Whiz #29 and Tom Mix Ralston #6 from Vinnie for a song. That is all I got except for an unusual old Popeye pinback. Had fun and made some dough. See you next time!Bob, any books show up at the Toy Show?
. Doesn't sound like not much to me. Nice pick ups.

I think you guys are seriously underestimating this piece. I believe it will hit $15k at least. Get it up on eBay ASAP!
Peace,
Chip
Agreed. Toss it up there.

I've only ever seen in the red box. Most heroes were released in the white box so stands to reason hulk was too. Since there are only 12-15 known examples (and I've only seen 3 with the box) it is possible no one else has the white boxed version. In that shape probably would command low 5 figures if authenticated at legit
Of my following of Mego's I have seen realistic prices of Carded ones, that only have 4 or 5 in collectors hands, go for upwards of $10k. The Aquamans Shark Attack goes for close to that Sealed in a nice box. Since this is made by Mego but not of the Action figure variety, It might not hit that number. If I am correct I don't think a Plastic man MIB has gone for more than 5k. I think to a hulk collector it might be worth more. My Estimation would be around 5k, but as Gator said. There hasn't been one up in for ever and the only white box, I have seen. Either way it is a very nice piece. You never know.

I'm just going strictly on eye appeal here. No graders' notes have been purchased, but I subbed the 3.0 myself and don't recall any major interior problems. Of course, I could have missed something. Bought the 4.5 already slabbed.
And I wholeheartedly agree that grading just based on a scan is not very accurate. Again, just strictly going on the eye appeal test, which book would you prefer?
These are both in my collection. Same scanner, same settings. One of these two grades as a 3.0 cr/ow and the other grades as 4.5 cr/ow.
Label notes on the first one: 2 staples added, not manufacturing. 2 tape stains on spine of cover.
No label notes on the second:
When you've decided, check out the grades:
. I knew that is what you were going for. That is pitiful. I think the grades should be reversed.

This thread is like breaking wind when you are all by yourself. Having said that, let's see if I get a response. I just saw a Sales thread where the scans were NOT the actual scans of the books, simply stock scans, like an E-Bay Mile High comics listing. Apparently, per the guidelines, there is nothing wrong with this ? I just think we should be better than E-Bay, more transparent. I think it should be a rule that scans are the actual books for sale. Anyone ?
+ I I agree. I think a photo of the actual book should be posted or available and a stock photo should not be allowed to use, But, These rules have been in play, long before I got here. I guess there is a reason for them.
