Where are the Mad Magazine collectors?
Hap Hazard replied to Doohickamabob's topic in Comic Magazines
I have shown this in the Golden age EC group but it really belongs in this thread, found at a swap meet this weekend. A lapel pin of Alfred which was sold in Mad Magazine in issue 33, Mad jewelry is very rare, I found one sold on Heritage in 2001! Ok so here's a pic of said lapel / Scatter pin. -

Hap Hazard replied to Randall Dowling's topic in Pulp Magazines
Just got back from the LA Paperback show and picked one Pulp I've wanted for a while. Strange Tales Oct. 1932. -
MAD Jewelry Dept: Found this today at a small swap meet in El Cajon, CA. Never seen one before a Alfred Lapel pin from 1957. I found one sold on heritage over 20 years ago, so not easy to find. I realize this isn't in the golden age but it's rarer than Hens Teeth and I was curious whether Robot Man has one of these?

A Fox Annual thats been on my Want List, Found one that was graded poor for missing the first page, I was pretty sure this was not the case as a Fox books often had page one printed on the inside of the cover. So sure enough every remaindered ( covers removed) in the annual started with page two. Included in this Annual: Hoot Gibson 3 with a nice Wood story Crimes Inc. 12 (1) Pedro 18 (1) Early Wood Art Famous Crimes 17

Here's a floor shot of the three Tales of Terror Annuals and another with all the EC Annuals. And yes, I removed the Book from from the slab, It had done it's job, it made the purchase process must simpler but I wanted to see the interior of the book. Some tape was listed I wanted to see that for myself. Nuff said on that subject.

Just to add my 2 cents on big grail purchases I paid about 10 percent on TOT 1 on new monies the rest I financed selling other comics. And yes this is a book I never imagined I could land but sometimes everything comes together making it possible!

I should have listed them not as good as yours: VOH 14 (3), COT 18 (2), WS 13 (2), and HOF 15 (1)
