  1. Again, where does the time go? I feel like I just made the 2023 thread and yet another year is in the books and a new one ahead of us. It was another good year for this group. The art was outstanding, the character selection diverse, and the ideas creative. Again, I am honored to be a part of this group, fellow collectors appreciative of ALL art in all of its many iterations, colors and strokes. So, we forge ahead to 2024! I hope this thread continues to provide fellowship, find new collectors, and provide a place to display your art. Big, small, simple, complex, weird....all are welcome! Without further ado.......
  2. No, I was planning to have it up Sunday evening. I have put it up around that time for the last few years but anyone is welcome to start another thread but one is in the works.
  3. Finally got the original Sabertooth from the X-Men, many thanks to @Triston Pence for facilitating and coming through with the quote “You owe me a scream”. Slated for Ash art…..
  4. I recently sent in a yellow label 9.6 for pressing and got back a qualified 9.4. The qualification was a mistake on the part of CGC but grader notes indicated a fingerprint/crease that was NOT indicated on the grader notes on the 9.6. While this certainly could have been missed on initial grading I am more inclined to believe that the book was damaged by CGC during pressing. I am now getting a 9.4
  5. Kudos to @YEPITSMEfor the signature and facilitating. The hunt for Poulter is on…..
  6. Alas cancellations prevented the double signature so the chase is on in 2024. Ash doing what he does……
  7. Would love to get a commission but have to weigh the cost of sending a black to Indonesia and then back to the states for CGC. Always a concern when shipping overseas….but awesome cover!
  8. Your post had me waxing nostalgic for this book and had to pull it out and look it over again. It was purchased at the height of Frank Miller mania (before he was making regular appearances). I knew I wanted it inked and had an opportunity to have it done by the Miller’s inker the great Klaus Janson. Was just as impressed then as I am now……
  9. Excited to own a piece from Olivia De Berardinis. She no longer does commission work making the only way to own a piece is through her auctions and she only recently starting using CGC for her comic pieces. I know of only four CGC pieces that have been auctioned off including this one……
  10. Many thanks to @Par2chfor the CGC SS 9.8 signed by McFarlane and major kudos to @Triston Pencefor adding the legendary prince of darkness himself….OZZY!
  11. Mary Jane's first official face reveal was a cameo appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #42 (November 1966). Designed and drawn by John Romita Sr., her entrance is regarded as one of the most iconic introductions in comic history, owing it to its build-up, her hyper-vibrant red hair and beauty, and her introductory line, "Face it, Tiger... you just hit the jackpot!". This was just sheer luck that this piece fell into my hands at a more than fair price…….
  12. My submission for Wolverine Wednesday and it’s a doozy! When artists ask me what I want when it comes to Wolverine commissions my general reply is whatever you want to do just make him SAVAGE! I would say artists have answered the call but Steve McNiven has created a whole new level. I was floored when I saw the finished pic and still have not picked my jaw from the floor……
  13. Found this one out in the wild and could not pass. Love the homage to Die Hard……
  14. Big thank you to @Triston Pence for this sketch. Not often you get a sketch from the director of the movie and pairs well with my CA signed Miller cowl…..even though was not a fan of the movie, the cowl is sick!!
  15. I was floored to get this one at auction for lower than most remarks on ebay…..
  16. Cooper is signing for Celebrity Authentics, so he will be signing quite a few books.
  17. Last of the Hardy books and a 9.9 to boot! Thank you to @Kevlarfor facilitating and tolerating my constant asking where these books were……
  18. Finally the last of my Hardy books to show up. Had to to get his Tony Sklepic piece signed, which the sig was better but it’s signed…..
  19. This one came out awesome! Big thank you to @mediaslave
