Just read issue #2 and couldn't be happier. Looking for good stories to fill the holes of old favorites that have either permanently or temporarily drifted into oblivion. This story is hitting the mark to this point. In fact, this issue was better than the first. The direction it has taken is unexpected but pleasantly so imo. If you missed the 1st print of #1, a 2nd print is on the shelves today or do what I did and buy it online because I couldn't wait for the mail. lol

2nd print was allocated, and started selling for double cover almost immediately. 3rd prints on the way.

    Hey all,

Not specifically comic related, but I thought I might be able to throw this in here.

As I think I may have mentioned before, I've really taken a shine to the MtMtE and RID series, at least up until the Revolution point (which I haven't read yet.) I have been blown away by how imaginative, well written and fun these books are, as I usually don't have a very high bar for licensed comics.

At any rate, my newfound love for these books has rekindled an interest in collecting the toys, but I am so far out of the loop, trips to the local toy store have me completely confused. It seems like there are several different sub-lines of TF toys, in varying scales.

What I'd really like to do is assemble the crew of the Lost Light in toy form, in a shared scale. Has anyone done this, or is it possible? I've found Chromedome and Rewind in the "Titans Return" line, but am generally kind of confused by the different figure sizes and packaging. Halp!

The books are well written, and well illustrated, and I cannot say the same for the big 2 in most cases!

As far as your hunt goes, You won't be able to do it with straight Hasbro figures, you will have to get some 3rd party and custom to make to happen. I like where you head is at though! If I had the shelf space (and opened figures) I would do the same. I do recall a post at TFW2005 that is attempting this, you might want to pick up your search there.

  3. very awesome... 1 small friendly piece of advice. be careful with direct sunlight and lighting. Unless those frames have special coating, the light could lead to color fading on those awesome books.

Thank you for the advice and I was 100% aware. I am in a dark room with blackout curtains, 0 direct sunlight.

there is an idea you just gave me.

$1 frames, not $30 frames, but a little UV reflective film for automotive applied to the glass would handle that. However, when I grade them I will get a different system to hang them from a professional framer who can provide UV glass. .

  4. Loving both titles extremely, Optimus is the Transformers book we all needed to establish him as the front piece in the Transformers history. A lot of pieces are getting moved into place and some of those visions Optimus is having is wild. Almost as wild as some of the things going on with the Lost Light. Need LL to catch up with the the arc so we can see where they are going with things. Writing is still on point, and I want to see more of Fort Max and that situation on Luna 1.

GRAIL BOOK FOUND. It will be enroute today sometime, and in hand within a week or so thanks to some good friends making sure I didn't miss it.

Lots of people to thank but I am sure they know who they are.

    Thank you!

  5. Nice pivot, not biting. You do realize I have been also been debating HQ3 and CW89 here with the others against the TEC850 the whole time, right? Maybe go back and read what I've been saying from the jump. Thanks for trying though.

So you just admitting that since you missed the GOOD spec, you decided to pump other unrelated books without reading the story of how the Sirens form? L oh L.

  6. Of course you agree with Ween, youre as Pro-cBSi as they come. You and the other mouthpiece. You are also the one that brought Tec 850 up on here as soon as cBSi ran with it. You are also in deep with them and were knighted as a mod on the podcast, your ability to be unbiased has already been skewed way back during the last go around. Of course you are gonna go with Tec 850 that's a given and I wouldn't expect you not to because God forbid anyone calls out a bunk claim cBSi makes. They send the dogs out just like now and claim its a grudge against them. Couldn't possibly be the fact they hyped a dollar bin fodder book as spec of the year. 1st appearance at any chance they could get without checking other books? No def not that. They tell everyone to do their own research and apparently didn't do their own.

What's funny is I already know how this is gonna go down on the podcast which you and linguini will be modding for any dissent or anything that goes against Tec 850 even when the proof is from Catwomans own words in GCS 1. Why would she suggest they band together if they were a team at any point already in prior canon? You can't argue with that. So anyways, and I already heard how this is gonna go too- gonna double down on Tec850 as the 1st appearance because cBSi can't take another L, even despite Catwomans rallying statement, and then pass the buck on to members for not doing their own research and claiming they didn't advise anyone to go out and buy it. Probably already scrubbing the forum of their comments about it. Then they are gonna bash people despite the truth being right in their face and claim them as disgruntled ex-members. Its the cBSi way of dealing with being called out. They have done this many times before. Its a poo show and you're right there standing in it.

As far as your pm asking about eBay names, I already told you....I don't sell on eBay or Amazon I only buy. I'm not giving you my name so you can go snoop around and see what I'm buying and give you ideas to spec on and report back to the clown squad so they can use it in the future. I also don't feed trolls in private. You've been on my Johnson poking in and out g+ communities trying to find out who I am so you can harass me some more. You've already called me 3 different people now. Thats creepy. I don't have the time to play silly games with you especially in private. What's funny is everyone you included in those messages, we don't know each other nor talk. We just collectively laugh. All different people saying similar things, just like now with this.

I have no copies of any of these books, I just don't like the misinformation out there that was peddled by them. I didn't even realize this was an issue and thought it was rather obvious to anyone who read GCS 1 with Catwomans statement.

lol Why are you so angry?

Quit trying to discredit the people who are better at speculating comics than you. lmao

  7. $40.00

    Buy It Now

SOLD ON A LIE ! SOLD ON BAD INFORMATION ! PUMPED AND CHUMPED BY A ROBOT !

I am not talking about CBSI I am talking about YOU !

What if you sold this to some old lady on her last dime that wanted to buy little Joey a Christmas gift !

Shame ! fortunately and most likely is was just another half fast flipper that purchased it !

    Positive feedback received. Go on......

  8. So if the Siren's name doesn't matter then that makes their formation within the context of a story all that more important. Seems like a pretty good argument for Tec850 to me. (shrug)

You actually haven't read Tec 850, have you? :baiting:

    I have read it.

So story doesn't matter? Is that what you are saying? (shrug)

No story does matter, you are absolutely correct there, I will say Tec 850 is an important Sirens key book that does lead in to GCS but it's not their 1st appearance. We should be focusing on the plot line of the Sirens movie as that is where other specs lie.

I 100% Agree with Ween because I have read the whole arc, and there would be NO Sirens series without what happened in Detective Comics first.

Tec 850 is Cameo + Origin of Sirens and the only reason why these specific people are against it, is because CBSI broke the spec, and these guys all missed the opportunity to pick up copies/or are just continuing their stupid witch hunt against a spec site that does better than any other when it comes to finger on the market pulse.

I've asked everyone of these loudmouth trolls for their ebay names, and they all refused because they are likely hiding something. They were PM'd to discuss, and they replied with rhetoric that cannot be backed up (as usual) and left the conversations.

    hm

  9. We looked, it's a majority of percentile variants nobody wanted, all the goods were gone in minutes of Diamond sending out the email,

And it is still a bunch of Secret Wars variants leftover from last years sale.

Conspiracy theorists, begone. Drinking that BC kool aid is bad for your health.

So the good stuff went ultra quick which would be expected with money to be made. But all of those goods will soon be hitting the market either in slabs or raw where they previously were taking up space in a warehouse.

the roughly 10-20 copies were always there, but it's ok if you want to roll with the conspiracy theory. I bet you think all books are 9.8 condition when sitting in these warehouses.

  10. Deadpool #2 1:100 Hip Hop was $2.00 in last years sale, and all went to one retailer whom sold me 2 9.8 candidates because he's a nice guy.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Deadpool-2-1-100-hip-hop-variant-cover-Vanilla-Ice-hip-hop-Mike-Hawthorne-/192038936265?hash=item2cb6699ec9:g:gC8AAOSwa~BYO4dt

Why did they have any left over and why unload them for $2??

It was less than 20 copies, Diamond doesn't mark up incentives, and the distribution of #2 was HALF of #1.
