  1. @Dr Zen I really don't see the concern here....looks about right to me....
  2. Have to say - opening the book, and finding out Neal DIDN'T do the interiors was always a disappointment! His covers were sooooooooooo awesome.
  3. I haven't ordered from him in awhile, but there's a lot of folks on here that will vouch for Doug. The stuff I got from him was mostly mid-grade runs (I think some old House of Mystery/Secrets titles). His stuff is usually spot on with grading. (Gary Dolgoff is another good one, especially if you're looking for runs/reader copies of stuff).
  4. Bouncing around from site to site on occasion and I have to say that Reece's Rare Comics' site is very nice. Easy to navigate also. I've bought from them on eBay and didn't know they had a site until I went looking. (Also, books are considerably lesser than eBay price I guess because of fees; that's the same with mycomicshop). https://reececomics.com
  5. Yeah - I've never been a consistent seller even though I've had an account since '02. Thing is - I guess the book was okay, he just he didn't like the way it was shipped, and that the BOX was damaged. Some people you can't please regardless. They didn't like your no return policy....good Lord.
  6. This is the way I've shipped as well. I have a lot of comics from my youth, and I've been selling them to fund the purchase of comics I've always wanted since I got back into collecting. If it is a single (or a few comics) I do the same exact method as you - if it's a larger amount 12 or so, I put them in the Gemini and then the Priority Flat Rate Legal Envelope. Haven't had any issue with these methods since starting to sell in October.... THAT IS...until the other day. I ship out a book (ASM 265 Silver Sable, mid-grade copy for about twenty bucks that guy buys on ebay), seller leaves me "neutral" feedback, "Box was damaged, just shipped in a Gemini sleeve...." Even though my listing basically says "I ship out in Gemini mailers..." Geesh.
  7. There's some really good YouTube comic guys out there - Very Gary's been mentioned, Swagglehaus, Regie Collects, love James "Minthunter's" stuff - I've watched some of Stinkygoose's also, and have enjoyed some. It was the YouTube collectors that got me back in comics, to be honest with you. Anyway, I watched this one last night and, yeah, it's kind of cringe. I agree that you should really show deference to the shop owner with regards to filming (ask first, always).
  8. It is REALLY a chore to navigate - that said I bought from Doug in the past and he's got great stuff. Great grader.
  9. Now I know why I quit collecting...you always pulled beautiful stuff like this out of your and made my collection INFERIOR! Great stuff, man.
  10. Picked up this beaut this week! Almost done with my Neal Adams' Bronze Age Batmans, one more high-dollar one to go! (244)
  11. @greggy glad to see you're still around! Love the TOD Also, do you still have those Sweet, Sweet DCs????
  12. Hard to find a centered one in a good grade! I've noticed it's kind of like that with the ASM #122/121 also... Just a Thursday night observation. New/Old guy back on the board and loving my new collecting journey....
  13. Where to begin? I was active on these boards in the early 2000s.(same name: Minutekev). Late last year I decided to get back into collecting - maybe it was my midlife crisis (turned 50 in Sept.) lol. Anyway, I've been making up for lost time - jumped back into collecting, and have been purchasing the books I've always wanted, but never could afford (selling off some on eBay also). Currently working on a Spidey 100 to 150 run and am nearly done with picking up all of Neal Adams' Batman issues. Also, picking up keys along the way. I don't know who all's active on here from back in the day....hope some old (board) buddies are still around! Anyway, it's great to be back! Kev
  14. A little belated but big props to 1407graymalkin. He paid quick for a Marvel Premier run I was selling..
  15. Kudos to Doug Sulipa, order packed tight and grading right on! Kudos again to Gary Dolgoff...I luved my first order from him so much I just had to go back for more! Just received a mid-grade run of the Iron Fist Marvel Premier issues and his grading, once again, is tops! I know a lot of forum members have come forward to expound on the virtues of these two gentlemen's grading and now I know why...enough can't be said about their standards and their customer service...
  16. Well, granted, all he had to draw was a hand and a melting ice cream cone...
  17. KUDOS to House..got my Overstreet! Wrapped up tighter then a 2-dollar hooker...
  18. Really? I didn't know that! See...that why I hang around here. The people here are like having an encyclopedia of comics knowledge right at your fingertips! Jim Me either, thanks! Just had to update my new marketplace listing as this is one of the books I've been able to upgrade recently and my undercopy is now available... Sounds like a Finder's Fee for Shiver....
  19. Not a forum member, but Kudos to Gary Dolgoff. Recently completed my first transaction with GD for 11 Bronze age House of Mystery readers...his grading's tops, plus they gave me an upgrade on one of the reader's and two extra books at no cost..lighting fast shipping as well!!!
  20. That was only the third CGC comic that I shipped so I made sure to use sufficient bubble wrap! Thanks again, Brian. Like you said a 'smoooooooooooth' transaction all around.
