  1. If you don't want to sell any of your comics, then I recommend that you hold onto them. Books in this genre are only going to increase in value. They may not skyrocket like the Church copy of Gay #32 (that was a unique exception). But I honestly don't think you will lose any money by holding onto them longer. If the true perception of value was just that token annual percent increase in Overstreet, we would lose all the excitement of comic collecting Just my 2 cents. p.s. Your copy of Gay #32 is a beauty!
  2. Guide value doesn't mean squat. Past sales don't mean squat. A comic is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.
  3. Has anyone won any of the amazing Edgar Church teen humor books that have been auctioned at Heritage over the past few weeks? Here's one that I'm quite excited about.

  5. I would have loved that, but there are just too many holy grails in one auction. Congrats to whoever won Tessie #1 - that's a beautiful book at a decent price!
  6. I don't mind a little writing such as an arrival date. I think it adds character to the comic. My pet peeve is when an attempt has been made to remove the writing - even when it's done professionally and without "restoration". This can be a deal-breaker for me, just like rusty staples or brittle pages.
  7. Perhaps, but inside it's slightly brittle. Do you think his edges are trimmed?
  8. There are 23 issues of Tessie the Typist. All of them have fewer than 10 copies in the census. Many of them only have 2 or 3 graded copies.
  9. All three issues of Undercover Girl (#5, #6 & #7) have fewer than 10 copies on the census. There are only 3 certified copies of issue #7...
