  1. Front page of their two bit website: ”Vintage Comic Books We’ve spent over $100s of Thousands in the past few years buying everything from rare single comics to entire collections. We will travel to you and buy your entire collection, cash on the spot! Pulps & Magazines We’ve been collecting pulp magazines for so long, when we started they were called “new bees”. TWO decades later, we still want more, so let us buy them from you! Modern Comic Books Along with vintage comics, we also buy mid-1980s to present day comics. We won’t cherry pick your collections, we will buy it all at a better price margin than you’ll get anywhere else!” Number of books listed for sale? 0.
  2. Unless my eyes are deceiving me, it looks like the cover edges have tanned a bit. If that is the case, I'd go more in the 4.0 - 4.5 range, the graders can be brutal on tanning. I hope I'm wrong to your benefit though, its a great looking book
  3. THIS. In addition to the made up hokey back story, the pictures are very much manipulated in every listing that guy has put up.
  4. Since being purchased by CCG, my best results with CCS have been with modern books that don’t need much attention. But their overall volume seems to cause CCS to be a bit too “press ‘em and schlep ‘em” to trust with books that need a detail oriented clean & press. So I got some other guys that I use to take care of the good stuff
  5. I hope so, because we'll see @Mully79 come back on an even bigger warpath (assuming the mods don't also send him to the chair). Should make for plenty of continued amusement.
  6. If that their two bit website is any indication, I'd expect a double down on the scam. In fact they almost outright admit it -- "Now we want to expand our business and knowledge by buying and selling comics others may not know their worth or true value."
  7. Doesn't matter, a guy with 1117 experience points still bid it up to where he was saddled with a $54 price tag. Shill bidding or no, that's a stupid buyer.
  8. See at least four spine stresses on the front cover, and a slabbed 9.6 recently went for $42.50 shipped. Stupid people of eBay, I implore you -- come on, man!
  9. According to the census it does; I'd bet there's several more Uncanny 10.0s that predate this book. This is the oldest 10.0 from the 1991 series though. @TICTICBOOM - you may want to clarify your post a little better to avoid confusion.
  10. Selling on fleeBay is all about how much risk you’re willing to take of being scammed and having no recourse. Personally, I’ve seen enough of these stories to keep my selling to 100 bucks or less. I sell my other books either here or through one of my trusted consignment people.
  11. Well that was a fun read. Left me wondering if @BITCOINSWAMI finally bought that VPN he'd be threatening for so long.
  12. Oh man, at first I thought this thread was about Johnnie Walker. Definitely bed time.

  14. And this whole scenario would last, what, a few hours? Maybe 24? 48? Sure you can highlight the average person out there who's fired 30 total rounds from their six shot. But there's literally millions of off duty, separated, retired, reserve, etc. military and law enforcement residing throughout the country who have done a whole hell of a lot more. Who not only know what they're doing, but are defending ground where they intimately know the lay of the land and have the advantage. So lets say the twerps do send out their shock troops. Maybe have a bit of short term success, and then run across the wrong people. Those that aren't killed or arrested will quickly melt back underground like roaches. Their best hope would be to sow some short term paranoia among regular folks, but that will ultimately pass.
