  1. 12.0 blue labels coming next week!
  2. CGC opened the door, the opportunists are walking through. The acetate craze will be the new NFT craze until the whole thing inevitably collapses in on itself.
  3. Once again Mike, I feel for you getting caught up as the bullet shield in this fiasco.
  4. Easy fix, send a pre-cut acetate and a stapler. 10.0s all day
  5. Or they simply don’t care. If the submissions keep rolling in (or increasing), the guys at the top can dismiss us as a bunch of whiny malcontents.
  6. How's that working out for them so far? They're still second fiddle by a mile.
  7. Not my job to figure that out for them.
  8. As they should, but the real question is can the other guys manage to capitalize on this epic blunder?
  9. None, some, or all may be oblivious. Quantity of obliviousness doesn't matter, the original sources knew it was a scam. Let the original sources now bear the responsibility of making it right.
  10. Why the confusion? The sellers got had, should we let the sellers pull one over on other buyers? And then they can do the same? The cycle has to end somewhere, let it die now. Now is also probably the best chance to hold CGC and Black Flag accountable for this fraud they've perpetrated.
  11. ANY defect, regardless of where it's located on the book, has to affect the grade, otherwise the assigned grade would be a total farce. I doubt you'll ever hear anyone say something like "This is the best looking 10.0 with an interior subjected to gunfire that I've ever seen!"
  12. Reminds me of Edward Norton in "Fight Club". If a + b is less than c, we don't do a recall.
  13. That would make no sense. Say you send in a Wizard ACE 181 with a pristine acetate cover, but you ripped out half the interior pages and put 3/4" tears in the rest of them. Should that book get a mint designation?
  14. Therein lies an interesting question. If Black Flag had flagged (no pun intended) these particular copies as primo 9.9/10.0 candidates, why did they sit as unsold stock for over a year, only to be turned into 6.0s once holes were punched in them? If they were truly mint copies at time of printing, they'd have immediately gone into slabs.
  15. You're dreaming if you think CGC is going to ban Black Flag's account. A conspiracy takes at least two to tango, and Black Flag has the goods on this situation as much as CGC does. You think they won't go scorched earth if their account gets banned?
  16. But does it really end at moderns? Most of us have seen the "Promise Collection" books, and to say that there are some gift grades floating around in there would be an understatement. And they were all sold through Heritage If I remember correctly. So what might have gone on behind the scenes with that arrangement? Impartiality and integrity are no longer in CGC's vocabulary.
