  1. I've lived in DuPage County for 15 years and without fail forget about this show each year. And of course I've got a previously scheduled commitment tomorrow.
  2. Some might say start the thread after the day job is complete, leaving plenty of time to post all facts at once and avoid 3 1/2 pages of snark. But then the boards wouldn’t be nearly as much fun, would they?
  3. Maybe give it more than a day? It's been a slow burn on here lately.
  4. That is correct, you need to re-bag the books if you don't want the Sig Series window bags to end up re-packaged and re-sold disposed of as normal by CGC.
  5. You're posting here, not the youtubers. Pics/scans of your examples, please.
  6. So this is the second time in two weeks you've been "done" with CGC... "I’ve sent orders in the past that got a decent amount of cgc 9.8 for modern books. I paid for a third party presser for books that looked perfect in the first place...my latest order didn’t have a single 9.8 out of 25 books...and several got hit down to 8.5 for « light finger prints » with no other issues. My presser wears gloves and does great work and was responsible for a 24/25 9.8 submission in the past...there is just no way this is correct. My take is cgc has a bunch of untrained staff doing sloppy work. Here I sit with no recourse...cgc takes no blame. I’m done with this company." (Had to copy and paste since the other thread is locked) All your books apparently look perfect, so let's see a scan or seven of these books that supposedly got jobbed.
  7. Having gone through a divorce last year, I can say from experience that talking about it is a great first step. I can't say I agree with Black Flag guy's approach so far - airing it all out to a bunch of strangers on the internet and also posting the bluster about wanting to fight Crain isn't indicative of a healthy mindset, but it's an understandable early reaction. Hopefully the passage of time will help him pivot to seeking counsel with the right people and put him in a better place mentally. Vengeance is never free.
  8. Wolverine 34, SS 9.8, signed by writer Larry Hama. Hunter in Darkness story. $200 shipped (if you’ve been following the rate of increase in Hama’s signature fee, he’ll be charging $200 just for that by next year)
  9. Wolverine 155. Deadpool crossover with Hulk 340 homage cover. SS 9.8, signed by Rob Liefeld. $395 shipped
  10. Another Wolverine (1988) #1, only this time in SS 9.8. Signed by writer Chris Claremont. $495 shipped
  11. Wolverine 162, SS 9.8, signed by artist Sean Chen. $125 shipped
  12. Wolverine 1, SS 9.0, signed by writer Chris Claremont. $145 shipped
  13. Wolverine 7, SS 9.6, signed by writer Chris Claremont. Hulk appearance. $135 shipped
  14. Same story with this guy as I actually just brought this book back home after selling it in 2019. Wolverine (2010) 18 variant cover, SS 9.8, signed by cover artist Khoi Pham. Spider-Man 1 cover swipe. $475 shipped
  15. Wolverine (2003) 1, SS 9.8 with four signatures -- the creative team of Robertson, Rucka, and Ribic, and Stan Lee for good measure. I won't be disappointed if this guy doesn't sell, and the pricing reflects that. But... daddy is working on seed money for baby's first stock portfolio before she makes her first appearance in March. $650 shipped
  16. Wolverine (2003) 49, 9.8 blue. "Santa Claws" cover. $60 shipped
  17. Wolverine 166, SS 9.8, signed by writer Frank Tieri. Features Logan's good buddy Sabretooth on the cover. $150 shipped
  18. Wolverine 65 is up next. Fantastic cover, and the epilogue to one of my all time favorite Wolverine storylines (60-64). I see two SS 9.8 copies selling recently on eBay at $177 and $355 We'll assume $355 was a rare outlier and call this guy $150 shipped
  19. And here we go! Wolverine 69, SS 9.8, signed by artist Christopher Ivy. Even pre-pandemic, I don't think I ever saw Ivy in a show line-up. $125 shipped
  20. Bump. More 1988 and 2003 Wolverine stuff to be listed this week, send me a pm if you’re looking for something specific and maybe I can help you out.
  21. Ah, I think I equated the two because of their single digit IQs.
  22. Wasn’t Icandothis a BITCOINSWAMI shill?
