Well, we have a new leader... @TheShadowKnows has come in hot and topped our previous symbiote bid with $300 @SkOw is holding steady at a first comic appearance of Rocket ($271) @BuscemasAvengers has a few other symbiote options at his disposal should he choose to increase from $252 @Comcav is holding steady at $203. Could it be that the takebot can be defeated?!

Alright folks, we're about 12 hours away from quittin' time, and our current total stands at $1445. @SkOw continues his march toward victory at $271 @BuscemasAvengers is in a strong second at $252 And the takebot @Comcav had his effort to Price is Right SkOw fall short but still sits at $203. We're less than a hundred bucks from last year's $1522 total. Anyone out there who has been looking but might still be on the fence, even a few bucks will put us that much closer to exceeding last year. And in the spirit of the comics as bids, one first appearance of Loki would put us over...

Well at the moment, @SkOw is on top at $202, while @Comcav & @jbpez are tied at $200 each. My suggestion would be just add another 0 to your current pledge total, @SkOw seems pretty committed this year Our current overall total is palendromic (spell check says that isn't a word, but I say nuts to that!) - $1221

I’ll do another summary tally a little later tonight, but first I wanted to share a few photos of Elsa in the holiday spirit. Before I get to the pictures though, a brief little interlude about the title of the thread. Some may think the use of the words “amazing” and “sensational” only apply because of the books being offered up. But in reality, despite all the trials that I dealt with this year with the divorce, ultimately I came away with far more to be thankful for in 2021 than to be bitter about. It would’ve been very easy to just call this year a wash and write it off. And there was a stretch of my life many years ago where I would’ve done just that. Fortunately I had discarded that mindset a long while back, otherwise I likely would’ve missed out on so many subsequent blessings. Just to name a few - my new house in a great neighborhood, my promotion at work, my Elsa puppy, and most recently a new relationship that kicked off this month. The Grinch doll you’ll see was a gift to Elsa, and despite removing the head in relatively short order (which she does to all of her toys), the rest of it is intact so far. She's brought it to breakfast the past couple days, so I'm guessing this particular Grinch is atop her favorite toys list at the moment.

Sorry for not posting a recap and leaderboard last night, work parties and Chargers/Chiefs and such. As of now I have us at $976, and since I like round numbers, I'll toss in the $24 to bring us to $1000. Our top three currently stands as: @jbpez is on top with the $200 from his Kull #1 sale -- (CLOSED) Avengers 47 CGC 9.4 1st Black Knight Dane Whitman Big Apple Pedigree!!! JBPEZ...Schomburg WWII Nazi cover, Edgar Church, Weird Mysteries 7 Classic Baily PCH Cover, **** KULL 1 CGC 9.6...CHARITY ITEM!! ONLY $200 and SHIPS FREE!! - Page 2 - Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only - CGC Comic Book Collectors Chat Boards (cgccomics.com) @SkOw is in a very competitive second at $181 @topofthetotem's $180 got Price is Right'd but is still sitting in a comfy third. Maybe, possibly we can surpass last year's total of $1522 by COB tomorrow...

So a fun fact -- we're a little over 12 hours into this, and I've already tallied up $926 in pledged donations (nearly 2/3 of last year's total already). We're on a pace to shatter last year's total. Who rules? O'Doyle...I mean...each and every one of you rules!! And if some of you start colluding, you might drive @SkOw up to $1500 by himself!
