I'm excited. SS Daredevil PF was sold out and I was on a waitlist. Just got word that I've been converted to an order. Can't wait to get my first big comic statue.
8 months later and still waiting.
Transplant, is this the one that you're waiting for? Love the sculpt, but his, um, "package" is awkwardly pronounced.
in 3D for sure

Ryan is an awesome guy to deal with.
I picked up an ASM book from him - it was shipped quickly and very well packaged.
Thanks again for a smooth transaction.

I like the blow-up doll dressed as the Black Cat.
Good times.
A Black Cat blow up doll = good times indeed

Underrated: Gambit, Daredevil, Cable, Silver Surfer
Overrated: Harley Quinn (it's true, but I still like her), Inhumans, Suicide Squad, Rocket Raccoon
What about Batgirl?

Hey All,
I went to a local antique show where I left with a few mega keys (these were actually the only 4 books I left with)...
The guy at the show knew a little bit about comics, but I wouldn't call him an expert. I asked him how he figures out his pricing and he told me that he and his partner sit down and 'try to figure out which books are hot'.
He had 1 long box of SA/GA key and/or high grade books, and maybe 12-15 long boxes of misc stuff ranging from X-men to ASM to Batman to Atom and so on. [i actually found the FF issue in the misc long boxes; I guess he didn't realize it was a key]
I ended up grabbing these:
Journey into Mystery 85 - lower grade, substantial spine roll but otherwise decent shape
Iron Man 55 - looks to be a mid grade copy
X-men 4 - low grade, small tears at the staples
Fantastic Four 45 - lower grade, small piece missing from front cover (bottom right)

HAHA
that was my next question...

Funny story.
I have been collecting/buying/selling comics for about ten years now and I have spent maybe 15 total minutes on Craigslist during that time. I love this thread though, and being inspired by some of the finds (and being bored at work) I figured I would give it a quick look. I hadn't been on the site in months, but I figured it would be one giant mass of WTB ads and 90's glut books.
So I bring it up, click through about four total ads...
"WTB ad"
"WTB ad"
"WTB ad"
"Hey now!"
Three hours later....
It's better to be lucky than good!
What did you pay for all this?

I recently bought a bronze age key from Jer...
He's a top notch guy, great communicator, quick with replying to messages.
I highly recommend him for smooth transactions.
Thanks for introducing me to the board!

Perhaps a general rule of thumb for LCS owners is to offer the cover price per book on GA, SA or BA collections.
LCS: These are old, no one wants these.
Comic owner: Okay, how much will you give me for them?
LCS: They aren't worth much more today than the cover price. 10 cents each?
