  1. Quite so, my dear Pov. In fact, she opened the Heritage invoice and hit the roof! 27_laughing.gif Luckily, I was able to calm her down and said I needed to buy it to offset my other sales.

That's the key. Comics come in, comics go out. If she only sees comics coming in, she starts asking questions.

  2. Hey Jayman, think you could do that with the other covers, too??!! 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

    I'll do it for issue # 5! juggle.gif

"I have published four issues of the fanzine Horror Comics Review since 2003. I am currently searching for an artist who wishes to collaborate on a short term horror project. Must be able to ink own work & capture a 1970's DC horror vibe, otherwise open to style. Seriously interested persons should contact me via email. pre-codekeith@adelphia.net"

  3. FINALLY got a Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #1, which completes the entire 126-issue run for me!!!!! FINALLY!!!!! Just a reader copy, but I've been chasing one for a while. Now I can sit down and read the entire run from start to finish. Then I'll be an official jive turkey. smile.gif

Congrats! I know you've been working on that run for a while. thumbsup2.gif

  4. Is there a John Buscema appreciation thread somewhere? If not, there needs to be.

confused-smiley-013.gif I only know about the two tth2/Zonker "John Buscema is a journeyman artist" threads. yeahok.gif

Are you sure that's not Sal Buscema? I think it's a typo. tongue.gif

  5. Unfortunately, I DO have a desire for a few other definitive covers that WILL be costing me. but Eerie 1 1947, Voodoo Annual, Secret Diary of Eerie and Cap 75 will all have to be obtained first! (Unless there is an insano good price).

Did you see the two Eerie one-shots that Heritage sold recently? Were you in on the bidding?

As was I. I was surprised the 5.0 went for so low, but then it had the speckling.

  6. I picked these 3 books up at a local show today for $10 each. To all the devoted war collectors: I saw a TON of late silver and early bronze war in 7.0 - 9.0 priced at a third or half guide. Are those common percentages for the genre? Do most dealers knock 50-75% off book values? If so, I need to focus on war a lot more, as the stories are hands-down the best from that period.

Nice comics, October. I'm going to have to check into some reading copies of Star Spangled War Stories.

BTW - who is your avatar? Mr. Jiggyfly?
