Dale Evans #3 1949 DC Publications
Nice, "grey tone" cover. Also has a fantastic Alex Toth story. I'm generally not a big fan of his but this might be starting to sway me...
A sharp, clean, bight, complete copy. Smooth, tight spine. Very lighly discolored top staple. Small pencil writing at top of cover. No missing pieces, tears or creases. Just VERY light wear. Book and centerfold very tight to covers. Very nice interior pages. A real nice example.
$90.

I'll take these two, if they aren't yet spoken for:
Marvel Tales 126. G/VG $80.00
Web of Evil 10. VG $115.00
Thanks!

Received a package from Robot Man - packed well and shipped quickly. Bob always provides great service, excellent comics and very reasonable prices. Highest recommendation!

I'll add the Military Comics 9 and Plastic Man 49 and 50 while I'm at it...

Blackhawk #21 Oct 1948
Satana good girl art story
Solid, clean, tight copy. Bound off a little at top causing pages to fan out from covers. Back cover has a small piece out of top left. Some minor wrinkling and a few small creases mostly on the back cover. Book bound well to covers but centerfold is neatly detached. Yellowed but supple interior pages.
WAS $50. NOW $45.
I'll take it!

There was a 17 issue Monkees series from Dell in the late 60s - they are on all of those. I believe they also appeared on the cover of Teen Beat from DC (not entirely a comic, but comic-sized at least).

Looks like the Thor above Rom is this one, dated February 83:
...but above that is Blade Runner 1 (October 82), and in the next column over it looks like Thor 372 (October 86). According to IMDB filming was done 6 August 1986 - 8 November 1986, so that would make sense. Looks like just random early-mid 80s issues were used.

I couldn't believe how high this sold for (about a week ago on eBay). My max bid was $110 and I thought I had a pretty good chance at getting it, depending on who else was looking at the time. But it closed at $787! Holy cow.
I felt the same way - my high bid was around the same place as yours. These early Charlton romances seem to be a little tough to find, especially in such nice shape, but that final amount blew my mind. Hopefully I'll stumble across a nice, lowly 2.0 copy for a fraction of the price somewhere along the way....

Nicely done, sir!
There are 21 romance stories Everett did for Timely/Atlas. Love Tales 50 has a signed Everett, and it's a special one: "When A WOMAN Fights Back!". It has a classic Everett haymaker panel, but this is one is different, as seen below. Romance catfight panels are far and few between - this is the best one imho. Hair pulling is a bonus panel!
I don't do a lot of commenting here, but I couldn't let this one slip by... Love Tales 50 was the first romance comic I ever bought! When I was growing up in the 1980s my local, small-town comic shop didn't get many back issues older than the mid-60s (if they did, the owner usually kept them for himself), but this showed up in their bins one day for $2.75. Even though I didn't think I was interested in romance comics I picked it up, as I did any 10c comics that became available.
This story - and this exact page in particular! - are what made me thing "Gee, maybe I've been wrong about these romance comics all along....". I have been picking them up and enjoying them ever since - I now have over 3000 romance comics. Not all of them have given me the same "wow!" experience as this issue, but I keep 'chasing the dragon' all the same!
It was great seeing this page again, what a nice surprise! You never forget your first - especially when they are as great as this one!

Witty Comics #2 1945
One weird funny book! I just obtained Mr Burk's copy so this one is up for grabs. Very creepy corpse falling out of a closet cover. Just one of only a couple of this genre books I know of. Also has a Superhero story The Pioneer. Real unusual and hard to find.
A nice, flat, clean complete copy. Has a small tear at bottom of spine and very neatly spine split 1-1/4" from bottom. Centerfold is neatly detached from single staple. Not ragged on edges. No other major tears, creases or any missing pieces. Interior paper is cream but supple with no tears or creases.
$50.00
