  1. Hey guys, quick question, is it bad to take a piece of art that has been signed by the artist and have the writer of the comic to sign it too?
  2. Hey guy's I have another question, there is an artist who dose incredible art but apparently it's all digital, on his website it says "In order to produce his highly precise and technical style David draws the majority of his interior artwork digitally at nearly four times the resolution of an actual comic page. As part of his process he then creates black and white giclée proofs printed at the same incredibly high resolution in which they were drawn. When each book is released David makes only a single Artist's Proof of each page available for sale, so owners of an Artist's Proof will have the only physical artifact of the page in existence. These Artist's Proofs are made using an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer on 11"x17" Strathmore Bristol. Each Artist's Proof is signed and labelled by the artist.'' My question, is it worth buy his art even though it's just printed on?
  3. There are 5 pieces of art I truly truly want (Incredible Hulk Vol 2 #32) any of the pages 3,5,7,8, and 14 by Joe Bennett, any help towards the right direction would be greatly appreciated. http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac176/Dblueace/Incredible%20Hulk_32_07.jpg' alt='Incredible%20Hulk_32_07.jpg'>
  4. Sorry about that, well If I am looking for a piece and if someone has it and the price is reasonable then yeah I would buy it. But if it's a bit out of my price range well I can at least have the sellers information and make contact, so I can buy the piece later down the line. I hope this make sense. Thanks for the info Terry Doyle
  5. Hey guy's I have another question, I know there is a WTB (Want to Buy) section here but is there a (Looking For) section?
  6. Hey there, I hope I can ask this here but here goes. So I asked a comic book artist if he does commissions, he said absolutely, at the same time I asked him if he had one of his original art work that I wanted (He dose not anymore). My Question is would it be consider somewhat inappropriate if I would to asked him if he could recreate that certain art page for me?
  7. Hey there, so I went to a website that is selling a piece that I am interested in but they have two version of the same piece, a pencil ver. (By the actual artist) and a inked ver (by the inkier who inked it on a separate board. . My question is what would be better to own, the pencil version or the inked version?
  8. Hey guy's I would really like to know if Frank cho's King Size Hulk #1 cover is for sale. I haven't been able to find any of Frank cho panel works for sale just commission work. Dose he even sell his comic art works? He just posted a picture of it a week or two ago on facebook and I tried asking him about it but of course there was no response. Any leads or advise would be greatly appreciated or is this something I should give up for now. Sorry for the lack of image, I'm still new to all of this and I don't know how to upload a image.
  9. Hello there, I have another question, so I asked two people on CAF if they where willing to sell me their OA. They both replay (not really but that they where willing to hear me what I was intending to offer). The first one was for a She-Hulk battle page with 3 panels, I offer him 125$, the guy said never mind. For the second person I offer 155$ and he never reply, my question is am I doing something wrong, not offering enough money or somehow insulting them by asking? So has anybody gone through something like this, how much should I offer for a piece i want but I also don't want to overpay for it neither. Or should I ask them how much do they want for it, but again I'm concern that they might hike up the price, what should I do.
  10. Thank you very much for the great break down.
  11. Hello there, I just started collecting OA so I am pretty new at this, I always collected comic books and I can't believe that it never occurred to me that I could own the original art works. I pretty much read the forum and am glad to say that I started collecting in the right step. I only collect my favorite art pieces and don't wish to sale or trade them in the future, I will only collect art from my favorite character and that is She-hulk. I do have a couple questions and am hoping to get some good advice. 1. I still don't understand the concept of pencil and inked pages, by that I mean on a website they sell only the pencil works but they also have a inked ver. Maybe I am not reading it right but are there always two versions? 2. My dream art piece is frank cho's cover "King size hulk #1", my question is dose anybody know where to find his art works? All I could find is his book variant commissions but no interior works. Any help would be appreciated. 3. lastly where can I post pictures of the artworks I would like to occurred.
