  1. I get what you say, however, I always look at to what degree the resto work is. I may be a little biased (just a little LOL) but have to say the book is gorgeous. It is a $50k book in a blue label. Like I said, open to trades also.
  2. Ah, i get it. Didn't think so but I guess.
  3. Really nice book and hard to come across in a high grade. My seller name on ebay is 'jacek99'. Asking $2600 Canadian (which is about $1980 USD, at the current rate) through paypal. I invoice and cover paypal. Shipping extra, depending on the shipping you would like. Any questions, please ask. Check out my other posts. Jack
  4. I'm not that much of a gambling man. Beautiful book nonetheless. such a shame because that amount of glue and colour touch is minimal.
  5. I do have an ebay account, so please check out my reputation, seller name 'jacek99'. What you see is what you get. Beautiful book. Payment through paypal or wire transfer. CGC certification number: 0284400001 Label notes: Restoration includes: small amount of color touch on cover, small amount of glue on spine of cover I am open to fair and realistic trades. Asking $14000 OBO.
  6. Did somebody see this auction: https://new.liveauctioneers.com/catalog/94592_cgc-graded-comics-gold-jewelry-antiques In particular, an af15 cgc 7.0 with buyer's premium went for $47,560.
  7. The poor thing was obviously "stan-lee'd". That kinda accounts for the 2500 imho. , not a fan of the signature series? Yes, it would appear that a signature increases the value of an otherwise worthless common drek book. When it comes to a true vintage collectible comic book, however, a signature is probably treated more like a clear and visual defect by the marketplace. Probably one of the reasons why the signed 8.5 copy of AF 15 in the most recent HA auction managed to sell for only something like more than a $35K discount to the condition guide price. Its a no-brainer: Id never get a HG grail signed. And when it comes to "stan-lee'd" books: I will completely shut up. End of rant. To follow everybody's comments, i purchase the book already signed. Everybody has their opinions but i like the book and find the signature placement cool. Thanks for all the feedback and insight.

This is the book you speak of: https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/amazing-fantasy-15-verified-signature-marvel-1962-cbcs-vf-85-off-white-to-white-pages/a/7139-91159.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515# The signature isn't visible. I don't think having a signature impacted the value of this book. I'm thinking it is the condition of the book and the fact it is CBCS. If this book was cgc 8.5, SS, it would have done much better.
  9. I hear what you are saying. Sent it to ccs once to see if anything could be done and they said no. Matt said if not for the corner missing, it was an easy 4.0 plus. I like it .
