  1. I really enjoyed it. Especially the Method Man cameo & the bars he spit for the soundtrack.

PLO Style was my joint back in the day too.

Just started the series. I'm looking forward to seeing this but the show is a little less than what I was expecting.

  2. I kind of liked the movie. I've been a fan of Will Smith in every role he's been in and I was worried about this one but I think he nailed it. It was worth it for me just to see him.

My daughter and I saw it today and it was good, not great, but an enjoyable movie. That being said, I have no idea why the critics hammered it so much other than the movie was not simple and light-hearted. I don't know what all the fuss is about the movie not flowing well. If you are partially literate and can follow a story line for more than 2 mins it is fine. lol

Smith was fine as Deadshot, and Robbie was great as Harley Quinn. I liked El Diablo as well. Leto was good as the Joker, but they hardly used him which was a shame. He brought a different perspective to the character which was interesting, but I can see how he is hit or miss with fans/viewers.

I was also confused as to why it got such bad ratings. This made me go in with very low expectations but I enjoyed most of the movie other than the enchantress' zombies and their fight sequences. I wish they used Leto more too. I warmed up to him after watching the scene with Quinzel.

  3. Remove the nostalgia and I found the show boring for long stretches and devoid of plot. It strikes me as a blatant rip-off and equally bad for many of the same reasons as Super-8 which probably appeals to the same crowd. (yes, I grew up in the 70's and 80's but movies where that setting is the singular hook dont grab me on that aspect alone.)

Literally nothing happens for the bulk of the series and things that do happen end up being entirely irrelevant.

Would have been MUCH better as a 2 hour movie or single Amazing Stories episode.

Also much of the the acting.. just wow. The kids were great, but the adults, particularly Matthew Modine and Winona Ryder; holy over acting hell...

    Entertaining? yes. Good? no.

Removing the nostalgia also removes, entirely, the meaning behind the obvious love letter the creators were writing to everything 1983.

That's like saying, "removing the sci-fi elements from Star Wars". lol

It was a rather effective mystery, and I found the single driving plot, and all the subplots and tangents that were forwarded in the protagonists investigation of the main plot, interesting.

It was far too short a season to get boring, really. And I'm going to disagree with the "nothing happens for the bulk of the series" simply because...well...a lot fricken happens....to a lot of the character...pretty much constantly.

One man's "rip off" is another man's "homage". lol

Agree. Most will love it. There are a select few who wont. Everyone I work with who has watched that are around my age love it.

Id like to know what the 20 year olds think.

I live on a college campus and I was surprised at how big of a hit it was with all of my friends. I'm hooked now too.

  4. I can't believe that it's become this popular over a very short time. I only heard about this 3 days ago but I've been playing throughout the day and I really like it. It's hilarious walking around and seeing everyone else doing the same thing.

  5. I live at a university and I see swarms of kids wandering around playing this game. I downloaded and tried to play but the servers were crashing from all of the people using it lol

  6. I despise that they slap their stickers on the slab but what's even worse is that you have to be some kind of chemist to remove the residue left over. At least Pedigree and HA use stickers that come right off. I just ordered these after being recommended them numerous times.

At first I didn't like these pads but after using them for awhile, they work really well. Like has been mentioned, just peel the sticker off the best you can and the remaining stuff on the slab comes off great with these.

I'm glad that you think they work well! Why didn't you like them at first?

For me, they still take a decent amount of time to remove the sticker entirely. And sometimes I've had to use more than one pad.

I used to use a hairdryer then Goo Gone. And the pads are better than that. But the stickers are still a stupid pain in the arse.

I just got them in the mail. They work like magic. The adhesive came off in a couple swipes. Wow.

If it's possible, I'll make it happen. The first time I tried getting one off I ended up using steel wool and windex and I scratched the case up pretty good. :insane: I'm sure this is a much better method.
