Where? Is it still in $270?
-
I think DScott IS JSC
Jerome
And if not, he certainly may have more than JSC.
-
ill shoot you a PM when they come in.
Do you personally know him or how does that work?
-
he doesn't often go to Mexico often for cons, so he maybe willing to sketch for fans there, like he did at Paris.
Yes! That is exactly what I'm looking for. Last time I saw him was in 2000... he wasn't the bomb he is today. I wish I had more money back then and knew more of his art... just a high school brat =P
-
you might try Doug he tends to know about these things... but Campbell's remarks are pretty costly something like $1500 US
or try the Signature series thread
I've never asked for a sketch personally from him I'd be curious to know how much they are considering his remarks are expensive (at least for me anyway )
Yeah, $1,500 would be a little out of the question (maybe), but the sketches in Paris were in the range of 300 EURO.
I just don't want to buy something out there, but directly from him, so just asking around. Remarks are nice, but they were indeed expensive and, in my opinion, a sketch is so much better. Still, a remark would be nice if he agrees to.
Really depends on the detail of the sketch. I've seen seen a JSC sketch on blanks sell for as high as $2500. Your price point of $300-$400 range for a JSC sketch will be very difficult, not when some remarks are already selling for $1000
Yeah, it depends on the possibility of getting in contact directly with him. I know his remarks sell for that or more, but it's because of the re-sellers. I might be able to go way up, but need to evaluate the chance. I liked his sketches from Paris in that range of price, but I know it's a long shot.

With the recent news of Campbell coming to Mexico I want to ask you boardies, is there a way to contact him for the possibility of a sketch or a remark?
I know some of you know him or have a way to contact him so it wouldn't hurt to ask.
I also know he no longer does sketches at cons (being Paris the latest exception I know of), but I want to finally have an original from him and I believe this way I could at least ensure that.
I know it's a long shot, but knowing how the cons are handled here, I'm afraid I might not even be able to meet him. Right now they are charging an additional $100 USD just for a chance to get stuff signed (not specifically him), and up to $400 for the Stan Lee stuff. The con will be in another estate, so the trip will be expensive on its own.
I am willing to pay the $300-$400 he usually charges if there is a chance so at least I will not come back empty handed. I already have my ticket, but if I could ensure this I would be good to go.
Please let me know, I appreciate your comments!
Regards.

Yeah, pre order is $200 . Reason why I was asking who the new venom is... so I can decide to pre order or not .
Where can I pre order? I do not know about the Venom, but that cover is going to go up if limited, as it's been happening more and more lately.
DCBS
And the books will be under $200 in other places.............
just have to look
Thanks... and true! Judging by other of their ridiculous prices, that cover might be half the price... still not cheap, but that's a start.
I'll keep tracking and see if I can find it somewhere else for a better offer.
Dcbs is $200, Frankie's is $269, Midtown doesn't have it listed.
Any suggestions?
I still haven't seen it somewhere else. I was hopeful that Frankie's had it cheaper, but now it's even above DCBS. Another dealer told me it isn't below $200 so it is possible it won't go below that starting price.

And it's supposedly already pre-selling for $200.
What?!?! Come on! I already spent a fortune on his latest variants!
-
JSC Catwoman cover. mmmmhmmmm......
Jerome
I hope so!!!
This... soooo this!

What do you all think of this? JSC just posted this on his Twitter account:
Hey @DCComics ! I must say, your grass is looking pretty green over there! Very green! -
I'll have to look into those! I love partial sketches.
Also the Avengers #1 Stan Lee SDCC.

I think it's a set worth buying early as there's going to be a lot of room for these to grow. They has a lot of things going for it. In regards to the original version:
-Recreation of an iconic JSC cover with current iconic characters
-A lot of key characters on the cover
-Original variant was only available at a Mexican Comic-Con at one per person (technically)
-Price went up on the raw over $200 in one month and quantity has severely dropped off.
-There's a total of one graded so far on CGC after a month on the market. Makes me believe stayed in Mexico where CGC probably isn't as popular.
-It's a "Mexican" edition that's in English. So there's probably not going to be an American edition of this cover especially now that the variants have been announced. Likewise, I doubt we'll see a spanish version.
So with that in mind, the variants weren't largely announced unless you were here or on Decomixado's facebook. They were released at something like midnight EST and were gone by the next afternoon. Obviously orders were cancelled and they've been available briefly twice since, but both were gone in hours. They've been sticklers with keeping it to one per person, so I expect a lot to be kept in personal collections. So not many will be on the market.
Looking on Ebay, there's been about 3 of each cover that's been put up for pre-sell since they were announced. Compare that to the hundreds of the RYV pre-orders. People are going to keep their copies.
This.
I was the one who originally posted the link and it was pure luck I got to see it on time, even when I live in Mexico and follow Decomixado in FB. I don't know why the covers are so scarce, nor if it's good or bad, but they are selling a lot of stuff internationally now because of this. The covers have been available from time to time and the red cover was still available today. I do believe it won't be easy to get later on for a reasonable price and many will keep it for their own collection.
-
The mexican variant, at least were available again. They did cancel orders of 2 or more, but allowed you to keep one. The sketch variant is sold out again, but the red one is still available in case anyone is interested.
The site has option for English language at the top left side.

Have you bought from here before? How much to ship here? Is that 600 pesos?
I bought in their store before, first time online. It's the store that provided the exclusive cover a few weeks back and they have a good reputation.
I'm not sure how much it costs for international shipping... and apparently they are out of stock! They announced them late at night and now they are gone.
-
Guys, HUGE heads up:
You can buy online and pay with PayPal.

It's stupid. Gross misinterpretation of what he wanted to draw.
And according to his feed, it got to him this time, even more when he tried to avoid it... it's ridiculous and, again, stupid.
Anyway, big surprise tomorrow!

Just been sent an email from Midtown stating that one of the Invicible Iron Man #1 JSC covers (unarmored Riri Williams) has been cancelled... does anyone know why or have been sent this message?
wonder if any of the unarmored variants made it to print and if they will just destroy those copies? Hopefully, someone saves a few copies and it hits feebay.
btw- is there any other artist that is a polarizing as JSC.
Milo Manara. Remember the Spider-Woman #1 variant OUTRAGE!! storm?
And after that, maybe Frank Cho?
It is still stupid.

There was a controversy that even JSC brought up because Riri is 15 yo and apparently, as always the double standard, people do not agree with the way she was dressed (as many teenagers nowadays). I didn't know it was cancelled until a few minutes ago... I really like that cover.
-
Thanks, man!
Got it and it's a sweet deal!
-
$39.99 before discounts
Do you have any discount code? It's $21 shipping for me, but it's better than any other alternative.
Thanks!

Inquiring minds want to know:
Whose the JSC king, Jreezy or Dscott?
Jerome
There are people with JSC books that haven't been shown....................
I might have a lot of books, but not graded and, certainly, not original art.

I love the Vampirella one, I must say I like it better than the Venom cover (and I do like that one despite all the hate I'm seeing =P). However, I do hate that they have 3 different covers for the same issue. They did the same for Red Sonja #1 (which I bought) and Red Sonja #2, and they just change the image zoom or the virgin thing... that's not cool.
Still, with the issues coming the first three months of 2017, we will have a pretty active Campbell year.
