  1. Out of curiosity, what grade did the 20,000th copy of ASM 300 submitted to CGC got? Did the lucky owner/submitter ever put it up for sale on Ebay, C-Link etc? Whatever grade it got, should be quite a premium with the special label and all
  2. For someone who doesn't live anywhere near a comics shop, Newsstand copies were the only ones available. So I never got to see all those 'bonus' artwork Mcfarlane put inside the UPC box during his ASM run until many years later when I finally got the direct editions.
  3. Yup, just curious to know myself what grade it would get. I'm pretty happy with the front cover, my only concern is whether that long crease at the back will knock it down to VG Just saw a CGC 7.0 Tomb Of Dracula #10 (1st Blade) in the Comics Market section, seems like a generous grade to me with those CB spine & dog-eared corners
  4. Would like to know if this book will grade as Fine with that vertical crease on the back cover. Thanks in advance, cheers:)
  5. Uncanny X-Men Annual #9/New Mutants Special #1 The X-men goes to Asgard. Good storyline and artwork as well
  6. Looks great, even has a Low/Mid/High sales price Sorta like Discog's sales history. How often does the prices get updated though?
  7. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated. Lower left corner has a dent which can be seen from the back near the date stamp. Thanks in advance
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-DC-amp-Marvel-Battle-of-the-Century-Superman-Vs-Spiderman-Signed-by-Stan-Lee-/142138885722?hash=item211823465a%3Ag%3AP2EAAOSwmLlX9Bx-&nma=true&si=cgZ0WiQNCuYATZ5xm0y0K1%252FVHfU%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Is this a legit signed edition? Never seen one where Stan signed with a ballpoint pen before. Not only that, the numbering placement also looks odd; aren't all numbering supposed to be under Superman's cape? *Edit - added a pix from the seller's listing
  9. Are there any SS of ASM 300 where Mr. McFarlane signs with a thinner/fine tip sharpie? His signature on those 90's store signed/rubber stamped Spiderman #1 looks so much nicer compared to those signed with a fat tip marker.
  10. Well, better late than never:) What I like about direct editions are those little artwork that Mcfarlane did inside the UPC box. You don't get to see those in the regular newstand edition.
  11. Beautiful Non-jagged edge copies.. both in 9.8 Non-jagged edge vs Jagged edge - Wouldn't this be a more important criteria to consider rather than whether or not it's a Direct or Newstand
