  1. I'm just so impressed with the quality of character you all have to offer these things to people that are just not in a great place at the moment. I tip my hat and applaud each and every one of you! Very well done indeed!!
  2. The reason is simple. The seller wants the most he can get for his book. He is selling it via auction style and the results have yielded sub par results on the past 2 occasions. Sooooo....time to game the system. The seller bids on their own book up a point where they want to maximize their price, hoping, in turn, that someone actually outbids their own shilled bid and will actually pay it. If not, no worries, they will just simply "win" the book in their dummy account, but will then contact eBay and claim non-paying bidder.....or better yet, a cancellation. They get their fees back and it doesn't cost them a thing. It only costs the legitimate eBay bidders time and frustration for bidding on a rigged auction from the get go. Even better is that eBay does nothing at all and lets it happen. As for GPA analysis, I have no idea, but it Is actually logged as a sale on eBay, so I would think it has some sort of impact.
  3. Lo and behold; Item ended last night with another and different "winner".... https://www.ebay.com/itm/POWER-GIRL-27-CGC-9-8-NM-M-Warren-Louw-Last-Issue-Low-Print-Run-DC-Comics-Super/193365355995 ...along with a 33% active bidding with the seller....and wouldn't you know it; It's listed for auction again. https://www.ebay.com/itm/193373958110?ul_noapp=true I think this is one of the sellers to be very cautious of...they have multiple accounts to run this scheme until it works in their favor.
  4. The "winning buyer" has a bid activity percentage with that particular seller of 37%. There aren't many arm's length buyers who bid on that high a percentage of one seller's auctions. ….and if they didn't pay, they would most likely be blocked for "non-payment" in future transactions. This book was relisted within the hour. Perhaps others may disagree, but to me, this is a very high indication of shill bidding.
  5. Here's a seller that appears to be playing the eBay shill game. First listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/POWER-GIRL-27-CGC-9-8-NM-M-Warren-Louw-Last-Issue-Low-Print-Run-DC-Comics-Super-/193359027007?nma=true&si=dfR21lxKaDTxTB8mVOk9aBw1tzI%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 …..apparently, that wasn't a high enough number on the auction.... soooooo….. Second listing---listed 1 hour after the end of the last auction. The book has the same verification numbers. https://www.ebay.com/itm/POWER-GIRL-27-CGC-9-8-NM-M-Warren-Louw-Last-Issue-Low-Print-Run-DC-Comics-Super/193365355995
  6. Bought a nice slab from Jason - well priced and arrived fast and very well packed! Perfect transaction and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again in the future!
  7. Bad faith is right. What more can a seller do? To receive negative feedback after this is pretty poor and petty.
