Thanks for the history. That is very cool! This one seems to be in pretty decent shape otherwise. Really nice interior.

Your Cindy #37 is part of a large Atlas collection that made its way to the West Coast in the mid-1970s. Many of the issues were incredibly well preserved. Because they're technically low grade (and were $1 books back in the 1970s), many collectors did little to protect/preserve them during the past 40 years. Here are some of your book's siblings:

I hear you are the man to ask so here goes. This book seems to be a 4.5 to me except the 3 hole punch. Would be better but 1/2" spine split at bottom and staple pulls. Will this get a 4.5 qualified or a lower Universal grade, like 1.8-2.0?

Finally, finally picked up a copy of this tonight!!! Stoked.

Even with the 3-hole punch I am still on cloud 9.

I love Friction House books with nice color. The structure grade is always secondary to bright colors on them. Here's a few bright ones.

My poor man's copies of the two books we are discussing above. Wish I had those reds on my Fight 41.

He said he was selling off his collection and I asked him if he had any more of the 7 issues of Jumbo. He said he did, I bought them and now a happy owner of the run of 7 horror covers!

 

 

 

 

Really developing an appreciation for those late Jumbos. Wish I would have got some of those from JimJum tonight.

My 6.5 copy is not to be posted here unfortunately, but this is probably my favorite.

I was referencing this book on a thread I started in regard to scarcity and Gerber Index. By my crazy math I figure there might be around 40 copies which would exist in 6.5 grader or higher. Whole thing prompted me to send my copy in to CGC, where it sits today waiting for its slabation.

the time I bought them I had never read them...so they were new to me.

 

Definitely in my top five. Wish my copy was that nice.

Just bought a Slave Girl 1 from Sharon. She is a real pleasure to deal with. Makes comic collecting just a little more fun.

Came in this morning. A great upper reader copy with great art! Got rid of my only copy a few months back. Glad to have this book back in my collection.

I wanted that TAR 45 too. Awesome cover. I think I sniped way too low.

This one is heading my way; I like that the subject matter could have easily been used for a post code DC sci-if cover, but the artist here (any ideas who? GCD was no help) makes it creepy...
