  2. Yeah, when I saw it I had to pull the trigger. There are several other HOF 28's on eBay right now, that are equally as beaten, for 2x and 3x what I paid.
  3. Got both of these off Ebay for fairly cheap! Love the colors on both.
  4. So both comics arrived yesterday. The Aces High cover was more brittle than I expected. I used the recommended techniques but found since so much of the cover had flaked off already I had to reinforce the spin more than expected. I now have a nice reader copy that should not lose too much more of the cover. I did very little to the Haunt of Fear other than to reinforce some very large tears on the back cover. Thanks again for all the suggestions.
  5. Additionally I picked this book up for very cheap. Not sure how I am gonna try to fix this one. I do not have the book yet. Will wait till I have it in hand. Paid 35 with shipping. Figured I couldn't go wrong.
  6. Thanks for the all the feedback. I have attached a picture of the book in question. I just purchased it. Once I have it in hand I will lay it out to show more of what I am dealing with. I have become recently addicted to EC books. This was a no brainer at $15 dollars shipped. I truly appreciate all the suggestions.
  7. Quick question? I have a book with a complete spine split. Looking at possibly using 1 inch Archival tape to mend the book. Any pointers or things I should look out for never as I have never used it before. This is not a high dollar or key book. Just want to be able to read it and keep the front and back from getting anymore destroyed.
  8. Been looking for a nice copy of this for a while. I just need to get 29 now to complete the set.
  9. Nickname given to me by some of my Army National Guard buddies.
  10. Frank Cho can be a bit of tool sometimes!
  11. Got this today. Really like the cover. I like Captain Marvel, really a character that never was given any really good baddies other then Black Adam. Stories really goofy but fun. Spoiler alert: he lures him into a freezer to beat him. Only my 4th golden age comic I have ever owned.
  12. Love me some Phantom Stranger. 1st appearance of Tala, love the character. She has already made her way to the cartoon scene with Justice League Unlimited. Comic is 5-10 bucks in vg/fine. I thought what the hell! Neal Adams art to boot, can’t beat it!
  13. I had the same thought, I live in the South. Should be easy to resell if I ever need to. Also thought about getting extra copies for that reason. I have seen people buy issues of Haunted tank for the exact reason.
  14. Got my First Two Fisted tales, will not be my last!
  15. Mixed bag this week. I think I have a problem. My first EC comic has me itching to buy more!!!
  16. Not where I thought this post was going! HA-HA
  17. I have two kids( boy and a girl) 10 and 14. If I had a dollar for every time I got asked to take them to the comic store I would not have to work. I have seen lots of kids there age at cons and at stores. I guess it just depends on your area.
  18. Superman 9 first appearance of Anguish . She can't be touched and is super strong. Superman 10 first cover appearance. If you know how people are number 10 could be seen as first appearance years from now, All except my first two copies were pulled out of $1 bins. She may never amount to much but hey with the way characters get "hot" what do I have to lose. Could be used later to buy other comics. Deathstroke 1 is a easy pickup. As NTT 2 contuines to get pricer and pricer this comic countines to go up. Use to be a 1 comic all day. Now going for 10-15 bucks.
  19. If you have time hit these two shops http://www.pbkwcomics.com/ North of Charlotte, great selection of books. His prices are super fair. Matt is a great guy. https://www.nikelspot.com/ South of Charlotte in Fort Mill South Carolina. Again good selection and very fair prices.
  20. Warlord is a great read and yes people collect it. Mike Grell is super cool btw. you can pick the comics up super cheap. I also had the Remco toys as a kid.
  21. As a fellow fire hair I could not pass that comic up!
