  1. I agree with you on your book. I think if the conditions of your af15 and my xmen 10 were flipped, the estimates would come back higher on the af15 and lower on the xmen 10. I could be off base, just my observation.
  2. Last post, three is a charm. I own a 1.5 spidey qualified, below, think it's pretty close.
  3. Also, didn't mean to go off topic. I'd give the spidey a 1.8 if i was estimating.
  4. Question for everyone, as this thread is pretty good example of a concern i've been seeing in big book grade estimates vs smaller book estimates from the same era. I put the below xmen 10 book up the other day for review, and the consensus was a 3.0, noting the rusty staples is what caused the low grade, which i agree. The above spidey is getting estimates of 2.5-3.0. Does anyone else think that these two books from a presentation stand point, are not on the same level?
  5. Spine split locks in the lower grade, i'd be right there with you at 3.5 tops, 3.0 worst.
  6. I can't tell whether the book is dirty or not. If cleaned, I would put an estimate at 9.0-9.2 unless i missed a tick.
  7. I've found that damage like this effects higher grades more so than lower grades. So if the book was impeccable, the amount of the point deduction for the tear would be greater for say a 9.8, then it would for a 4.0. Someone correct me if i'm wrong. Also i see more forgiveness on older books than on newer books. I'd estimate this book to be around 5.5-6.0.
  8. Hello, What is everyone's thoughts on a grade on this book? Book has a staple added. I was told by the seller the book has no restoration but am up to hear opinions here if anyone can detect it by the pics. Thanks for looking.
  9. Im not sure, didn't even know it was it was a foreign piece. I don't know how to detect restoration beyond the obvious stuff.
  10. I just saw that its possible this could get a .5 incomplete due to that triangle missing on the page that's cutting into the art. Although that may be true, seems pretty harsh.
  11. I was hoping for a little better than 3.0 since the rest of the book looks pretty good, but makes sense. Thanks for taking a look.
  12. Hello, This book has been restored, not sure to what level. Was wondering your thought on the grade, especially considering the piece out of the page in pic 2?
  13. Also, cover is attached to the staples on the front, just looks to be pulling away due to rust on the back.
  14. What do you guys think this X-men 10 would grade considering the rusty staples? Thanks for your help.
  15. Wow, you guys are good. Thanks for your help.
  16. I purchased a beat up cap america 2 a few years ago with the wrong back cover. Was wondering if anyone knew which comic this back cover belonged to?
  17. Hi there, Was wondering if CGC would consider the below restoration? Someone colored batgirl's hair black (instead of her natural blond) as well as drew muscles on batman/robin, you can see the black ink on the inside of the cover. Kills me every time i look at it. Thanks for your help!
  18. Hello all, What do you think this would would grade? With a press, my guess would be 8.5 maybe higher?, but i'll leave it up to someone a little more experience. Thanks for your help!
