Not a variant.. Not a final issue.. Not a 2nd print..
This is how we roll
Love pure books. Real collectables! Great cover!!!
-
I've only seen one copy of Zombie Tramp Vol. 1 #1, 1st print. Super rare and tough book to find since there were less than 100 copies printed.
Not the action labs one, right?
No. That is vol.2 mini and vol.3 ongoing.
Those books have lots of variants and are found common as dirt.

I understand. I would not sell if I had it. Never hurts to make an offer though.
I've got 3 copies none that are "grade worthy"
This is the only book on earth I wanted in super high grade.
I make only a modest living so 300 or so is the highest I'm "allowed" to spend on a comic. My wife would never understand
Well you know we're I am if you ever you change your mind.
Hmmmmm...what do you think is a good estimated value for this book? I know it's hard to say because it's worth what someone is willing to pay but maybe 500+
It's definitely a tough one. More will pop out of the woodwork eventually, so keep your eyes peeled. Keeping my copy, but appreciate the very generous amount.
Yea there coming out already. 4 listings on eBay now and one sold the other day.
That's the most I've ever seen listed in my life!
They must be watching the forums.

so before watchmen dr. manhattan 4
and all the 1:100 variants?
And Watchmen #12?
I ran around and grabbed most of those today...and Superman Clark Lois 1 and Convergence Superman...I think i'm covered.
Is there something before those?
Dc spotlight 1 1985 - first watchmen first dark knight
If we are collecting Dr. Manhattan don't sleep on Watchmen 4.
And his 1st appearance in Watchmen #1
You mean his second appearance right?
No he means 1st full appearance of Dr. Manhattan. Everybody knows that Spotlight is a cameo of the full team.

On the wall behind register at Midtown comics 40th st location. 400 even
I'll pass...
Ya, $400 is a wee bit too much.
Agreed...to much! Well I don't think I would ever buy any comic off a wall at a NYC shop. Everything is a bit to much. Right next to it is a Spider-man 1 torment regular cover unbagged for 25 bucks. Some sucker will buy it too!

U sir suck.
U find it or buy it?
Its just one of those books I want to find. I may break down and cry right in
front of the dealer when I find one.
I got really lucky and was probably the first person to see it put up on eBay through Mycomicshop that morning in March. I think they under-priced it. Or at least, I would have ponied up much more than they were asking. Held my breath until I received the shipping notification.
Was that a $98.00 sale or something like that???
I think I remember seeing that and kicking myself in the arse for being late.

In regard to Static 45
Thank you for the pre-order number, I was not able to find it for some reason.
If someone has a graded 9.6 or 9.8 copy please let me know. I've never made a request like this before but I really want this book.
Willing to pay 200+ for 9.6 300+ for 9.8

Its funny.. 3 of the books discussed in this thread I found in one batch last month: WW184, Spectre 54 & Static 45.. It was a huge modern collection that was CLEARLY cherry picked as there were no known key issues in the 20 or so boxes offered. But it had TONS of unknown keys such as these, also 3 copies of Akira 35-38, Deathstroke 58-60, Batman Strikes #35-45 (what? you, didnt know about these??) and I cant begin to tell you how many 2nd print variants of big books (Yup including the big one Captain Marvel 17, which is, well, somewhat a better known key hehe)
Pic of Static 45 or it didn't happen.
Sorry I gotta see it. I haven't even seen a personal scan of this book ever.
Only website pics.
Show me and all give you this
I couldn't resist....
OK this is STUNNING!
I have never been lucky enough to find one at any LCS here in NY or Florida.
I have purchased 3 raw copies on-line over the past 2 years claiming to be NM. Sad to say none were ever as advertised.
There's no way I'm risking another 100.00 unless I see it in person.
LOOKS DISMAL.
Almost as stunning as the book is the label error.
What's the error?
A comic dealer and good friend told me about 4.5K on that static 45. Don't know how accurate or true. Only what I was told by a comic vet that knows his stuff.

I remember it was canceled abruptly.
Anybody know estimated print run?
Ballpark???

VERY strong price for this book..
Awesome!
I think this will change alot of things for this book which was already on the up and up
Curious.
WHY do you think it is on the way up?
Blue Marvel?!
Ok
Because there's not much more to speculate on.
-
That's movie hype for Ya!
It's not a keeper though. This book will come and go.

New God's 7 has already been selling for a premium and certainly not found in dollar boxes but OK
Jungle action 5 and 6 are seeing alot of activity now that the main stream modern collector knows there significance. I think 5 is overpriced seeing as how its a reprint and 6 (being the 1st true solo ongoing story) is still under the radar a bit with lots of room for growth.
Watch for Avengers #52 (BP joins Avengers) and #62 (original 1st solo BP story reprinted in JA #5) as well
Yea absolutely! Avengers 62 is still selling for cheap considering it's age and importance. I think BP 5 is favored by the majority because
1. It's believed to be the start of new stories and many do not realize it's a reprint.
2. Jungle Action series has a lower print run than the Avengers books.
3. Cover has more eye appeal on Jungle Action. Unfortunately the Avengers book was subjected to the time period where they used the horrible logo / name graphic.
Very true about that! That whole run has awesome covers and interior work.
I'll jump on on JA #6 in high grade any day before #5. Slightly better price, true beginning of solo run and story, many political character 1st appearances that I'm sure will be featured in his movie trilogy.
As far as the Steppenwolf news?
He looks kinda menacing in the deleted scene that he's featured in. Mother boxes and all!!!
-
My confusion is:
What the hell is so important about this issue?
Sure...it's a limited variant to the start of a fairly good story line and I believe 1st Shury as BP. So what???

Complaining about Kirby's art? Modern collectors are a funny bunch

It might not seem as likely to ever heat up, but the first appearance of the evil KKK villain is on Jungle Action #22. What a crazy time, you will never see that from marvel again.
Certainly the clan issues will be a steady investment. Issue 19 (vs clan p.1) goes for a premium in higher grade.
This whole run was gold. I'm certain we will see many of the characters from Jungle Action as cameos in his solo movie.
These books are more of a steady burn than a flash in the pan. They will hold there value with steady growth. This run is still highly undervalued. It was not a popular book and did not have high sales but has actually become the foundation of who Black Panther is.

Thank you for all of those with welcoming words.
It's appreciated.
I don't sell books because I'm not very good at it. I buy what I like and I read my comics.
I think I'm to much of a collector fan boy to invest and sell properly.

Isn't this a modern comic thread for books heating up on eBay? I hope so because that's what I signed up for. If you want to make accusations and talk about IPs and Mods?? I have no idea what any of that is. I'm not a child. I'm a grown man that raised a family and likes collecting. Treat me with some respect or ignore me please. You're making the thread very negative and I've noticed its always the same guys. Silly bullies on an internet forum. Sad.

Did I do something wrong??
Please whoever you are stop harassing me.
You are probably soft as baby mess in the street. Please don't be on here trying to "on-line" bully people.
Not cool man. Not cool
Take it to Phils
What is wrong with you people?
Is this how miserable you are with your lives??
I'm asking you nicely to stop harassing me. This is my second request.
If you want to say something to me? Than speak to me like a human being.
If you want to joke around with me? It's OK and all in good fun.
What you guys are doing is very rude and I'm not tolerating it.
Grow up guys!
Moderns that are heating up on ebay!
