  1. Kevin Nowlan and Phil Jimenez added as comic guests.
  2. Scott Hanna: Head $60, Half Figure $80, Full Figure $120 He generally signs for free but has a donation bucket for the Inkwell Awards (these were his prices at Terrificon in August)
  3. Would love to see Stan Sakai. Don't recall him coming to Dallas. Brian K Vaughan would be great too.
  4. Looking forward to the show, feel like combining the 2 was a great idea, here's some names off the top of my head: Joelle Jones Babs Tarr Nicola Scott Fiona Staples Skottie Young Alex Maleev Kaare Andrews Bill Sienkiewicz Mike Grell Walt and Louise SImonson Keith Pollard Chris Claremont Jock Declan Shalvey Scott Snyder Greg Capullo Andrea Sorrentino (does he do shows?) Ron Garney Charles Soule Nick Spencer Jesus Saiz Esad Ribic Steve Epting Francesco Francavilla Ashley WItter/Ash Mazco Paolo Rivera Lee Bermejo Mike Mignola Jeff Smith Adi Granov David Mack Chris Samnee
  5. Added Kevin Nowlan for comics and Helen Slater and Alexis Cruz for media guests
  6. The Dallas Comic show returns in 2017 with a larger venue for their spring show. It's moved to the Irving Convention Center (probably took the slot that would have been the Fan Expo show that's usually in February) and is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, February 11-12. Guests announced to kick things off (edited 11-16 to add some names): Media: John Wesley Shipp Helen Slater Alexis Cruz Kathy Najimy Comic: Phil Jimenez Kevin Nowlan Mark Brooks Joe Jusko Brandon Peterson Howard Chaykin Cully Hamner Cat Staggs Kevin Nowlan Philip Moy Jeffrey Moy John Lucas Duncanville Comics has had a large presence at the Richardson shows in 2016. Who else will be there?
  7. Understand your point of view regarding travel, time of year, celebrity guests, etc. And when I talk about adding guests, I mean comic guests. I couldn't care less about the "celebrity" guests. I would hope better comic guests means more comic fans which would be better for comic vendors. It's definitely a see how it goes situation, I'm just cautiously optimistic.
  8. This is a terrible idea. How so? not arguing, just want to know your thoughts. To me it seems like a great idea. I think 3 shows is too many and kind of waters them all down. Also think that moving it to that date will lighten the competition for guests as they may/june time frame seems heavy with shows
  9. Went to this one last year because George Perez was a guest. It's not a smooth and well run show, and apparently there were problems with VIP ticket holders getting their perks. Their Facebook page has deleted all the posts about it (and looking at it now, all visitor posts). There were some good vendors and the Artist Alley wasn't bad either. So, if there's a specific celebrity guest or artist you're interested in, it's not bad if you're close.
