  1. I am close to completing this run too, with the exception of one very elusive one, which I should have in 3 weeks. #25?
  2. Awesome Avon book, they really had some good sci fi covers.
  3. First of all...wow beautiful! Secondly, if you are happy with the book then no price is overpaying in my eyes.
  4. Thanks that's good to know. The reason I thought it might be unique to Planet's is that the ones I have owned seem to have perfectly fine pages, but the inside of the covers are very brown. I have not seen this on any of my other comics. Usually a book is brown all over, makes me wonder if the paper they used for the covers is poor.
  5. I would say no more than any other title. Hmmm, I can't seem to find any of the later issues for sale (65 and up) without tanning. I guess all the goods ones are being hoarded.
  6. Are Planet Comics more susceptible to tanning than other Golden Age comics? I last 5 or so Planet comics I have held in person have all had very tan inner covers. Also I have inquired about several Planet comics online and the majority have had tanning. Thanks
  7. I bought another GA book from Rick. It came quickly and it was in better shape than described. I am very happy to deal with him again! Thank you!
  8. Nick shipped my book fast and was very kind throughout the process. I would gladly buy from him again in the future! Thank you!
  9. Apart from the obvious visual attraction on this cover, I think the guys space suit is awesome. Nice book Rick!
  10. I like weird, ugly, corny, and over the top covers. They have historical significance in an era of censorship and prudishness. That is why I tend to not stray too far away from horror and sci fi. Many of the books mentioned on here are beautiful in my eyes but hideous to others.
  11. Sold some comics to Jeff, he is very easy to work with. Fast and friendly communication! Thank you!
  12. Super cool guy to work with. Friendly, quick communication, and has awesome stuff to sell! Thank you!
  13. This is my favorite teen humor cover besides the Jetta series. Owen Fitzgerald and Dan Decarlo were the greatest!
  14. Hi Catrick, Do you base that strictly on popularity/sales or something else?
  15. Thanks for your reply. Superheroes did dominate in popularity, but I think the horror and sci fi genres from the late 40s and early 50s produced some of the greatest and meaningful comic art ever made. Not only that, but they seem to showcase the culture, fears, and attitudes of that time like no other genre.
  16. Of course the big bucks are in early superheroes, but put aside the money and give your opinion on what genre is the most significant or indicative of the Golden Age. -atomic1950s
  17. Hello I was recommended to make a kudos thread for myself as I am starting to do transactions here on the forum. Thanks! -atomic1950s
  18. This book just popped on my radar...love the cover! Yeah, this is probably my favorite cover... I am jealous to be honest.
  19. WOW, I have a lot of collecting to do. Those are awesome!!!
  20. Please post your best space girl covers! I would love to discover what is out there. I have only started collecting for less than a year and am learning a lot from reading this forum! My small collection:
