  1. Yeah, Authority, would have to agree with you there. :-) Issue #11 approved at the printer today. Look for it in a few weeks. Also as an FYI, there will be a special Francesco Francavilla variant cover for issue #11 that you'll be able to pick up at the Emerald City Comic Con first weekend of March.
  2. Thanks, buddy. You'll be happy to know that issue #9 was sent to the printer last week. You should set your clock by us as BEK is always on schedule. :-)
  3. A great review of BEK #7! Check it out! http://readingwithaflightring.weebly.com/reviews/black-eyed-kids-7
  4. BLACK-EYED KIDS #7 and BLACK-EYED KIDS VOL 1 TP both will be on sale Oct 12th. I might have some advance copies of the trade collection at the AfterShock Comics booth (#2238) at NYCC. Hope to meet several of you there!
  5. I'll be at Ssalefish Comics (along with Paul Jenkins) in Winston-Salem, NC to sign the BEK #6 variant cover, while Paul signs the ALTERS #1 Ssalefish variant cover as well. If you're in the area, please come down to see us.
  6. +1 Be sure to cheek out the new BLACK-EYED KIDS Facebook page to see the NYCC exclusive cover by Szymon for issue #6. Also, you can see the Ssalefish Comics exclusive #6 cover, also by Szymon, as well. While you're there, "like" the page! :-) https://www.facebook.com/BEKAfterShock/?fref=ts
  7. Appreciate the kind words. This issue has gotten a particularly strong response. Makes me feel like we're doing something right. Now let's get those sales numbers up! Spread the word, guys!
  8. Issue #5 out this Wednesday! Let me know what you guys think. I just gave it a re-read and am pretty excited about it.
  9. I heard it from a reliable source that they're unicorns. Magical unicorns. :-) I knew it...just couldn't prove it How do you know they are magical ?... could be the basic? I’m sticking with aliens , leader said we have been here “well for longer than you might suspect" Aliens ,…… maybe magical Aliens? I was kidding. There's nothing magical about them. I'll reveal that at least. Just wrote a pretty creepy scene in issue #7. Read it to my son and it creeped him out. Mission accomplished. Now on to issue #8. Going to try to get ahead a bit and write the next 3-4 issues back-to-back-to-back.
  10. I heard it from a reliable source that they're unicorns. Magical unicorns. :-)
  11. Out tomorrow. BLACK-EYED KIDS #4. Out Wednesday, August 10, BLACK-EYED KIDS #5. Yep, you read that right. Only two weeks later. We had already planned a short 3 week gap between the two issues, but with Diamond's mistake, delaying issue #4 by a week, the two issues are now only two weeks apart. Finishing up the -script to issue #7 this week (on sale in October) and there's a particularly creepy scene in the issue that my wife won't let me repeat to her. Must be doing something right. :-)
  12. Heading out to SDCC Wednesday morning. If any of you see me out there (we won't have a booth, but I'll be walking around) fee free to stop me to chat if you want to talk about BEK or anything AfterShock related. Thanks for all your support to date. Hope we can grow this company with great fans such as yourselves at our side. Also, as far as speculation goes, you guys should look into the incentive covers we offered with our June titles. A few of those covers have less than 100 copies in current circulation. Very rare.
  13. Well, at least there will be a shorter wait between issue 4 and 5. :-) Got my copies of issue 4 today. Very happy with it. Have to agree with you on DREAMING EAGLES. Love that series. I'm having drinks with Garth at SDCC so I'll let him know you approved of his final issue. :-) We're doing a hardcover edition of it to debut at NYCC. Garth will be doing a signing with us at the AfterShock booth there as well, so if you're at the con be sure to stop by and introduce yourself.
  14. Damn!!! However, Good things come to those that wait. +1 This book has been right on time. Looking forward to the 27th. Issue 6 is already drawn. I'll be finishing up the -script to issue 7 over the weekend. We'll stay on schedule. Don't worry. And thanks for understanding.
  15. Just heard from Diamond today that our comic titles schedule to ship July 20 have been delayed to the following week. That means that Second Sight #6, Captain Kid #1, and...gasp... Black-Eyed Kid #4 will now be on sale July 27. Sorry, guys! Not our fault The issues are at Diamond, but a computer error caused the delay.
  16. We won't have a booth at SDCC this year (there's a LONG waiting list to get in). We'll be there, but we won't have a physical presence on the floor. Hopefully next year we can move up the waiting list and get a booth.
  17. Wow. Great praise. Much appreciated. #4 is at the printers and will be sale July 20th. I'm pretty excited about this issue. Let me know what you think after reading it. Looking over the art for #6 tonight. Wow! Szymon has really outdone himself on this one!
