This morning, I sold a lot of ten comics for $28.99 to a buyer in Illinois.

    Selling price - $28.99
    Sales tax charged - I couldn't find where this was indicated, so I calculated it by hand. $28.99 * 0.065 = $1.81
Total amount with sales tax - $30.80
    Ebay fees - $3.87 ($30.80 * 0.1255)
    Transaction fee - $0.30
    Net amount - $24.82 ($28.99 - $3.87 - $0.30)

However, according to Ebay, the net amount I will receive will be $24.55. Can you check my math for any possible mistakes?

Are you using the Seller Hub in Ebay?  If so, you can click through on the payment for the auction to see the sales tax charged as well as the fee calculation.

To be fair, it looks like the seller tried to cancel the auction less than 1 day into a 10 day auction so it's hard to say you won a legit auction for $1.
