    After moving to a smaller home. I always take 1 slab or comic and put it on top of the refrigerator for a few weeks. Just gives me time to stare at it throughout the day as I walk though the kitchen and enjoy it. Sometimes I'll drink a beer and just stare at the art. If I get bored of it, I switch it out.

    I must be one of the few people who may not watch this show. Mackie always seems like a jerk esp to Holland in his interviews. He plays it off as teasing but makes me dislike him a lot.

    Agreed. This will dampen the hot collectable market. Who wants to deal with the headaches of another 1099. Death by a thousand cuts. I rather just spend my extra time working out or playing video games.

    A big question is selling comics that you've held over a year.. are you charged at a long term capital gains tax rate and how does ebay know?

    I agree that you should always pay your taxes. However, nickel and diming the little guy is not going to pull us out of this huge deficit. The huge corporations and billionaires need be taxed appropriately but they are rich and control the goverment so C’est la vie, n’est pas

    Yes, you are totally right. For a lot of high end books , -like TMNT1 first print... there is a premium / entry fee for the lower grade copies. It's just a general rule of thumb, makes things a little more objective... I do anticipate that this could increase as we inch closer to the movie.

    Yeah, it's more of a rule of thumb rather than a hard fast rule but tends to work for lower to mid grade copies... once you start nearing NM- prices start doubling depending on rarity.
