it's just one of those funny quirks Lee and Ditko used to think that the Human Torch and Paste Pot Pete were more popular attractions for the reader... ironic Horror stories like Dr Strange were a back up to the main dish... they had no idea that this backup hero would become so popular with time I think it's cool that Strange's 1st appearance is hidden... no cover appearance, no mention, just completely ignored... such a subdued introduction but that's just life... Can't always judge a book by its cover. Whoever can't look past the cover. Don't buy it. But there are definitely Strange fans who don't mind and will swoop in to pick it up.

Nice review of the current climate... Y es, I was talking about recent moment in the sub $3000 grades because that's all I can afford so a few hundred bucks seems like a big difference to me. Not sure if this will translate to the higher echelon of grades but we'll see! All the MCU appearances seem bullish to me.

Yes, I have had my eye in 4.0s and a couple have sold for ATHs in the last 2 weeks of Ebay. .. I'm curious to see if that trend continues... love Dr Strange and can't wait to see him more.... lots of rumors that he may show up unexpectedly

I get where you are coming from...I haven't kept track of the book prior to this year. However one of my friends on the boards owns a ton of copies and says the book flatlined when the movie came out because it had increased so much the year before and was overvalued. He also thinks the book is now very undervalued compared to the other mega silver keys since Strange is playing a more significant role in the upcoming MCU... I have noticed it jumping on Ebay recently but we'll see. Time will tell.

That's true that cover isn't ideal, but still the 1st Dr. Strange, Nightmare, Wong, and (debatable) Frightful Four. ST 110 is always going to to be a big key and will always rise. Plus, it will work with fans who don't judge a book by its cover... Some people care, some people won't.

Yes, it's definitely a "it's so bad, it's good" cover... but you never know. Could still surge and follow the other big SA keys...a rising tide raises all boats

Value may not go parabolic like X-men 1, but It’s a 50 year+ silver age key so it will increase in value over time. Dr Strange is still a sweet character. I would love a copy in my collection.. We'll see what happens in the next few years.

How about Strange tales 110 with the new movie? Last SA key to not go crazy after DD 1 and X-men 1 went ballistic. Seems undervalued.
