  1. Hmmmm, would it affect the grade of books printed with a “scratch and sniff” cover if they presented as a 9.8 but no longer had the smell (like a first Hobgoblin w/o tatooz)? Would doctoring with a dab of Axe body spray be considered restoration if detected?
  2. Yeah. I have it on my watchlist but I wasn’t going any higher than a couple hundred bucks based on the description. I was looking at it from an art reference perspective but once it got to a certain price point, google images isn’t such a bad alternative

  4. That’s a good question. I’ve only seen qualified green labels with the notation of a name written on interior. Would like to know if blue labels exist too
  5. I’ve seen books hit hard for the dirt on them and your copy looks like a cleaning would be a definite improvement judging from the back cover. How big a bump is anyone’s guess. The corner is hard to tell from the glare but would depend on if there’s color breaking. My

  7. If you have the money to throw around for an AF 15, you should know what the real thing looks like. A google image of a certified copy should be easy enough to find and take notes for an investment of that size. Hint: it won’t have a yellow border around it.

  10. Those are the type of books I like to take a crack at using techniques that steer away from (traditional) heat sources. I may hunt a couple down where the damage is already done to experiment on. Some of these newer books would never be on my radar without posts like this.
  11. You can’t imagine how much fun I have with these “benchode” , wasting their time by leading them on and disrupting their scam network. Being retired can be a blast. 🤣
