From a business move it was terrible. It devalues the brand and drives less repeat traffic to the site and less social media talk and absolutely zero media articles about it. No publicity=no new people finding out about aspen. And that is entirely what these covers have been about. They aren't for the long time fans, they are to get Aspen out there in front of new people.

Yeah I'm debating on ordering it or not. I have so many other All Star batman covers coming and I'm not a huge fan of this cover for some reason. But I love Turner so I'm torn.

Just pre ordered a few of these Ben Oliver All-Star Batman 1 variants. What do you guys think of it? this is one of only two other retail variants I've been able to find. Anyone else spot any for it?

Or Doc Ock since he's still trapped in Peter Parker's butler robot That's a good guess, too. The solicitation for ASM 18 involves the resolution of the Ock storyline. Interestingly, there's no ASM solicited for October (Marvel Now). Now THAT I would love. And the Alex Ross cover for 18 is pretty spectacular.

That or pulled them to sell at SDCC. Either way the demand is there.

Things have gotten out of control. I think they truly are trying to appease as many people as possible. They know they could print until people stop buying it and make bank, the demand is obviously there. But they should just stop listening to the FB people, stick to a plan and just do it.

I'd be really curious to know. 1. If new super-man is even being released in China 2. If so, is dialogue being completely rewritten? Because Kenan's father sure did say he believes in truth, justice, and DEMOCRACY. I know China has progressed dramatically but I don't know about that.

I get they want to give fans a chance to get the book. But that's what second printings are for.

Looks like this is gonna happen on all of the releases from now on. I'm just gonna purchase for PC for all star, they could feasibly end up doing three prints of that.

It's just something you have to deal with. With the batman release, speculators bought up hundreds of copies and fans missed out and if they want it for their PC they gotta pay the eBay game. In my opinion you should be happy you got something. The supply FAR outweighs the demand in this situation and there are thousands of people who missed out. I'm gonna have to try tomorrow for the second print of the batman cover and I know odds are I might not even get that. Orders are limited to 1 per account for that. Not even 2. I think, they are doing their best with limited resources and probably underestimated what they would need to have in place to make this work and are adjusting as they go.

How was the book? I'm actually kinda excited for it. But I am also glad I ordered a few extra copies having just read what you said. I actually think it's possible this character could be huge over seas. There is a market for it.

I normally avoid DF like the plague..... Ah see this is why I come here. To learn. Thanks. Their website seems awkward.
