  1. Interesting set of images. The poster image is a real skull except for the left side of the mandible, which they must have painted in to complete. That means the cover painting was a still life of sorts from a real skull. Given all the controversy with such things recently it is interesting to consider that some skull somewhere is technically a movie prop.
  2. Also industry specific is the offset in salary. If I was making 2M doing management, well, I would be doing it too. But unfortunately top end is roughly 400k and top end "in the trenches" is roughly half that - soooo not worth it for all the problems you take on.
  3. 100x. That's like 20k to 2 million! I find that the further advanced I get and the more I make the less I actually do.
  4. And looks like the comics from this collection are getting their own sale to boot: https://comics.ha.com/c/search/results.zx?dept=1938&mode=live&auction_name=40273
  5. Whenever I think I am doing well with life and finances I just look at HA.com and it brings me down to earth. I have no idea how much money I would need to have in the bank or make on an annual basis to spend this kind of money on collectibles. For someone who has spent his entire adult life collecting, and a lot of my free time engaging with the collecting hobbies, I sure feel like a light weight in my willingness to drop this much money on something.
  6. Based on your username this is the auction for you!
  7. Yeah this Black Cat cover is one that makes a lot of fluff lists for people just getting into comics and comics history.
  8. Yes I am waiting for people that know anything to start throwing their price estimates into this thread.
  9. At least Dave M isn't a horror guy!! So we have that...
  10. Thanks, what I figured. High quality work it seems.
  11. No it does not. Amazing to see. I may even keep this Heritage catalog. But, the logo is a stat per the description "A logo, masthead text, and the cover caption box are very high-quality reproduction paste-ups affixed to the board. " What is never clear to me is when these were done, ie, modern or part of the production process.
