And, of course, lots more quality, all-ages fun with Scrooge and Donald in the numerous Carl Barks and Don Rosa comic book reprints.

Barks's "Lost in the Andes" and Rosa's sequel, "Return to Plain Awful", are superb stories. The Fantagraphics reprints are well-made and perfect for a child.

They are both master cartoonists, however, some of the humor in Barks' work is anachronistic, and may be difficult to explain to a child. Also, Barks's stories occasionally have images displaying racial stereotypes of their time.

Rosa's work, on the other hand, is easily accessible for all ages.
