Since we're on the topic of destroying artwork... John Byrne ripping up a Green Goblin commission. Apparently he isn't too fond of the villain.

Nice! Being that I'm a huge Spider-Man fan, I'm hoping to get my copy of ASM 189 signed, plus a few of his Spider-Man chapter 1 books I own. Can't wait.

It's a bummer there's no SS, and unfortunately it's a growing issue out there that some creators lump anyone doing SS into non-fan / "only in it for the money" / "ebay flippers" stereotypes... has been discussed in many threads that there's an image problem with the SS program (even just the fact that many creators who do allow it, charge more for it). But that's a conversation for another thread.
Bottom line, I'm just happy that Byrne is willing to sign other non-Star Trek items, as Kevin made it clear from the beginning that Byrne was anti-slabbing and any package would not allow SS.
FWIW, for my 2 sigs, I'm planning on getting him to sign on top of my existing slabs (trying to finalize which ones!) I'll let him know I'm a huge fan, and I'm going to get his signature personalized to me on the slab. Maybe it'll be a subtle indication that there are "real fans" who like to slab too
JB has also stated he likes his work to "breath" so he's not a fan of his work be encapsulated in the first place. I wonder if he'd even be willing to sign over top of the case, good luck though. I am very glad he's signing non star trek books, so I'm OK with him not allowing SS.

I had messaged Joe's son, Mark, a couple weeks back asking him if Joe will be making any more appearances this year. Unfortunately, there is nothing scheduled yet, but that doesn't mean he'll be attending no conventions. He has attended RICC for the past few years and usually attends local cons in NY so you should check there. Planet awesome collectibles also holds private signings and sketch opps with Joe once in a while (which can be sent to CGC), so you should ask him.

Is anyone going to this tommorow? I contacted @Celestial Comics Weeks in advance, and was told they could pick up a head sketch for me, just needed to tell me a price. Haven't gotten any updates since, and am trying to obtain a Green Goblin pencil only head sketch.

Great lineup! @Kevin Boyd When I saw that picture of ASM 1 I thought Ottley was attending for a second Can't seem to find many appearances from him.

Still in shock... RIP, such a shame

The DD sketch was definitely nice, but I'm a die-hard Batman fan and getting a sketch from Miller, in-person, was a dream come true.
It also usually costs way more than $250 for a Miller sketch/remark. Glad it worked out in the end.

Hey @Kevin Boyd any updates on John Byrne's appearance? Really interested in purchasing a fan package from him.

That Daredevil sketch is one of the better ones l've seen from Frank lately. Cool story!

Oh man this is a tough one... Although it's not entirely complete, I have to go with my Amazing Spider-Man 100 jam piece, it will without a doubt be my favorite piece once it's complete, maybe even now. It's the first jam piece I've started, and won't be the last!

My OA grail has to be the orignal cover art to ASM 100, wish I had 500k to spend on it

Pinball machine is awesome. I wonder if they ever made a Frazetta themed one?
Thanks! That's a good question...I thought I might have saw one produced by Gotlieb but not sure. The art on the ASM pinball was done by Gordon Morison, sadly he's passed away:(

I interpreted "limited" to be he's doing quick simple sketches. Not a reference to how many sketches he would be doing. Nothing too detailed.
That's what I was thinking, he was offering quick head sketches at Ace Comic Con this year too. Would be nice to get a quick pencil sketch from him to have inked to really make it stand out.

Does JRJR doe head sketches? I didn’t think he does remarks or sketches at all. At least not at signing events. That’s news to me.

Yep, that's what I saw. Wonder how many "limited" will be...

Hey all, Recently, I discovered about John Romita Jr's upcoming signing for desert wind comics on July 15th in Las Vegas. Unfortunately I have other commitments, and was wondering whether anyone on here plan on attending, and would be able to pick up a quick head sketch for me. I would be willing to pay $30 over top of his original cost, plus return shipping. Thanks

Hey @Kevin Boyd will Jim Lee's signing on Saturday be a ticketed event? Thanks, looking forward to the show. Hope I can make Toronto Fan Expo as well this year, would be my 5th in a row!
