I have been having problems with the shipping of the "special" 15 count box with a cardboard after every five holders. I thought the idea was really good until later. When I sent them to My Comic Shop I was told six out of the fifteen were chipped or cracked. I bit the bullet, had them send them back to CGC for reholders at $15 each and waited. Just recently I sent a customer complaint in via email. I've had better luck with them sending back eight in a so-so shipment, meaning a box with paper wadded on top and bottom with the holders just loose in between. Brittany in customer service wanted me to call her for more information about my issue. So I called her and got a, "Well, those USPS guys just throw those boxes on the trucks, right in front of us!" My though is, why don't they spend the extra little bit and put a cardboard between each holder? Why do they insist on sharing with us that we send in comics with "special care" when they don't send them back the same way? I felt a tad bit put off by Brittany about my concern (extension 250) though she did say she'd put a note on my file about putting cardboard between every holder when shipping them back but she wasn't sure that would happen and couldn't ensure the guys in the shipping department would even read her request placed on my account. Grrrr.... Geeesh! What to do? Do I try to get someone higher up?? Anyone else having this type of issue? The cost for reholders is getting expensive in my opinion. Not that CGC would care since I pay them for new holders. The last time it cost me $90 just to have something that wasn't askew on the My Comic Shop sales site. Well, weigh in here if you want. Thanks!! Oh, and I agree that pressing might be a good idea for really mangled comics. I am having my first adventure in this regard. We'll see how this works out. I have the pregrading done (very strict) so I'll know if it does any good to go in this direction.
