  1. I've got some affordable Blue Beetle original art up over in Copper:
  2. Fun stuff, Eli! That Wolverton book is cool, for those who have never seen it. And Thrilling Adventure 1&2 is a complete run; can't have a full Atlas/Seaboard output set without them! GLWTS!
  3. Hank Pym through all his iterations, while second tier, is to the Avengers what Martian Manhunter is to the JLA — a kind of backbone character through the years. Plus, pre-internet, the book was practically apocryphal. Just didn’t turn up in LCS’s much. And it’s early Marvel: one of three 10-cent books at the birth of the marvel hero era, along with FF 1 and 2. Like many books, the movie era lifted its price point, but it was an established key before that. Different situation than say Groot and #13. Hope this helps.
  4. He didn’t bring back Woodgod. How good could he be?
  5. I’ve posted 10 pages from Blue Beetle #8 & #9 over in Copper/Modern, at $100 each plus shipping. All are Paris Cullins pencils and Dell Barras inks. Many have sketches on back too. Picked these up from a collector’s estate a couple years ago and decided it’s time to share most of them. (I have a couple keepers as I loved this series and character, and I donated one as a prize in last year’s Christmas raffle on the boards. I did not have both/either issues in their entirety.) I’ve bought and sold many books on the boards; see my judos thread for references. This is a boards-only sale; they are not out there elsewhere. Sharing some affordable OA within our community. Enjoy!
  6. Blue Beetle #9 page 14. Paris Cullins pencils, Dell Barras inks. Pencil sketches of some pterodactyl-looking guy on back. $100
  7. Blue Beetle #8 page 15. Paris Cullins pencils, Dell Barras inks. Machinery on back, lots of notes in blue in margins. $100
  8. SOLD via PM! Blue Beetle #8 page 13. Paris Cullins pencils, Dell Barras inks. The Calculator in action; Sketch on reverse. $100
  9. SOLD via PM! Blue Beetle #8 page 2. Paris Cullins pencils, Dell Barras inks. Great stuff on back too. $100
  10. The pieces: 10 assorted pages from issues 8 and 9 of the 1980’s DC Blue Beetle series. Pencils by Paris Cullins, inks by Dell Barras. Most of the pages have some sketches (some pencil, some ink) on the back, so I am showing both sides of each page. 5 Simple Rules (Please, please read) 1st wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment is Check or Money Order (yeah, yeah I know I'm a dinosaur, troglodyte, luddite, mennonite, hermaphrodite etc. - I just don't have or want e-payments.) Shipping: Within U.S., $25 box shipping unlimited; one page or the entire thread. (The boxes I use run me $7; the rest covers shipping. If it’s less, I’ll put the difference in the package. Art will be in cardboard sandwich with lots of bubble packing inside the box, which is wrapped in plain brown paper for that slightly seamy “racy lingerie/adult toy” feel. Will label as such at no extra charge, for the titillation of your postal carrier if you like ) Don't be listy including the little one in my head. Returns: Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get it back to me in the same shape on your dime. (Kudos thread linked under my avatar.)
  11. Looks like a maggot or baby worm. But I don’t know what a baby silverfish looks like. This is a job for @oakman29!
  12. LAST CALL!! Closing tomorrow! Take your takes and/or present all offers! Thanks again to all takers and lookers; hope its been fun! Remember, any $4 books may be taken in bunches of four for $10, and any $5 books may be taken in pairs of 2 for $9
  13. The Sphinx’s Ka stone (Nova #6 first app) 1st serpent crown is Sub-Mariner #9
  14. Three more Archie freebies remain on page 4, for you takers who have not yet claimed one. I thought for sure the 1st one to go would be Archie's Joke Book #48, IMO the best cover gag of the bunch by far, but its still there.
