    About 185 books coming over several nights, a chunk of a small collection I picked up a while back. It’s Silver Age through early bronze, mostly Marvel (ASM, DD, a few assorted others), DC (Superman title and a few others) and a handful of Gold Key and Archie...I’ll start tonight with some varied stuff, and it will take a couple nights to work through that. Then we’ll do Superman-related, another burst of varied, then the DD’s (under #100) then ASM’s (#40s-#160’s; far from complete but lotsa books) then close with the various keys of the collection. So settle in for a good week or so on his one. Ready? 5 Simple Rules (Please, please read) 1st wins; tie/indeterminate goes to the thread. Payment is Check or Money Order (yeah, yeah I know I'm a dinosaur, troglodyte, luddite, mennonite, hermaphrodite etc. - I just don't have or want e-payments.) Shipping: USPS Priority between $8 (flip n ship mailer in a Legal Flat Rate Envelope) to $15 (Medium Priority Box) for raws. Don't be listy including the little one in my head.     I've got a small collection of almost 200 Silver Age/early Bronze Age books coming -- Marvel, DC, Archie, Gold Key; heavy on Marvel. Will start with the various oddballs from all publishers, then onto a nice chunk of Daredevil below #100, then an even larger chunk of ASM from well under #100 (but above the 1st 20 or so) to about #160. (DD and ASM not complete runs, but much of that span is here). Then we will close with the assorted keys of the collection. Grades vary but lots of upper mid-grade material here. Stay tuned; starting ASAP, maybe even tonight if I'm stupid enough and caffeinated enough

    I can’t remember where, but I read an interview with either Claremont or Cockrum where whichever one of them it was said that they decided pretty early on that there was a lot of power-type overlap among Wolverine, Thunderbird and Nightcrawler, making them hard to all fully utilize, so someone needed to go. I think they said they landed on Thunderbird because he had the overlaps but no unique aspect (eg Wolverine had the claws, Nightcrawler the teleportation) as all three relied on speed, agility, moderate strength etc. (So Lord knows why those two ever chose to create a Legion of Superheroes homage/knockoff! ) I still think it would be very cool for some writer to bring him back and say John Proudstar has been living in secrecy for years running some special SHIELD black ops team, with only Fury and a few others knowing.
