  1. Medication time! Medication time! … Tonight we’re going with a local bourbon product from Taconic Distillery…
  2. More than 20 books shot for tonight; we will get through the entire Tom Corbett run tonight. On the silver side, Avengers, Thor and Subby among others, including a couple tough keys (not the ones you usually see) for the Batman and Archie fans. And we’ve still got another 20 books for the finale.
  3. Triple Crown Thank you silverage12c With that handle, I'll venture to say you're going to like the rest of this thread...
  4. Patsy Walker #61; thank you Mbatko And please note: Barbara signed her name on the cover, and the paper dolls are intact. If you play with them, we're gonna know!
  5. Thank you, Eli! John's been very fair to me, so I bought some fun, eclectic readers to enjoy then share, since he wanted to move them. Most of the Silver Marvels in this thread I had but I took them, upgraded where I could, and am sharing the rest and/or my previous copies.
  6. Here's that Strange Adventures #9 - NFS. But he sold me this, among other things, years ago, so I bought these other books when he asked recently.
  7. That’s all I have shot for tonight but lots more to come. There is an almost complete run of Tom Corbett, missing only FC 378 (#1) because I think that’s one of John’s few personal keepers. But if you’re into movie keys, these are your 1950’s B movie keys! Seriously, besides the Tom Corbetts, there’s Tec, Thor, FF, other Four Colors, a Duck key, Fox crime, Jughead and more. Stay tuned!
  8. SOLD! Four Color #400 (aka Tom Corbett #2) looks FN in a bag but grading it GD due to interior cover tanning. Both staples attached at back cover. Sweet Al McWilliams painted cover. $30
  9. If you don't mind the postage and can pay via check, sure. I think a single book ran $16 last time I sent to Canada; a small stack of 3 or so was about $24 IIRC.
  10. Our Situation: I have been buying books from John, a local collector of all sorts of cool things, for many years. He says he is an album guy at heart (10,000 in the garage; I've seen them, its true) but he also has a house decorated with lots of vintage lunchboxes and tin robots, and a few old display racks filled with comics, as well as a couple boxes. My Strange Adventures #9 came from him But John has turned 73 and wants to sell the house. He called me to make a dent in the remaining comics, which I did, at a fair price. So this thread will be for me like a nickel-dime-quarter poker game: if I'm up or down $20 at the end, its a big swing either way, but it should be a few nights of fun with friends, as I share about 50 of John's books. (A couple are my undercopies of keepers from him.) It will be all 10- and 12-cent covers from the 40's 50's 60's, about half 10-centers and half 12's. I'll alternate until I'm out of 12's then its all 10-cent books. We'll do a dozen now, and about 50 in total over a few nights, maybe not consecutive.
