FF 48 vs Strange Tales 110 both Keys
Readcomix replied to carefulsum's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
If you want an AF15, a 5.5 puts you in the top 20% of universal graded copies, fwiw. Food for thought when comparing the higher grade other two books for your choice. -
Classics cassette set! Thank you, SOTI! I just wish I had listed them earlier, to ship everything together.... These are pretty cool though, and I could not find comps anywhere -- or any info on them, for that matter.... I have pulled all the SOTI/POP Claasics books of various HRN's and I will shoot and post them next in this thread; lots more to come

Welcome home!

SOLD! This is so weird I almost saved it for my next "You Might Find It" thread... I cannot find any comps of these but they appear to be from the early 80's. Set of six Classics with cassette tapes (two tapes missing, some of the sealed plastic opening at the bottoms, below the books. Comics are slightly taller than digest size. Take the set for $40.

Oh well, thanks Ed!

Ed, Yellow Claw 3 and/or 4?

Thank you; like @Larryw7 said, it's had a kind of apocrypha around it for a long time, being so hard to find. I found it in the hands of a generalist collectibles dealer at a large flea market (he happened to be a comic collector and had gotten it in a trade). Finding one under such circumstances, I felt I had to go home with it. So we talked til we came to a number. Comps are tough; Heritage hasn't sold one in five years.

This thread needs a bump, and I'm happy to give it one with a tough Fawcett that doesn't seem to turn over much!

I also think her characters are very expressive; I'm no artist either, but she renders moments that feel very real.

Killer report, awesome additions to your collection, and they've prompted a prediction -- Kirkpatrick covers are gonna heat up one day; she has a lot of stunning work. That Real Love is a sleeper gem!
